After Alex and his girl changed, they all said their goodbyes to everyone. We walked out the tiny apartment. Before we walked out the doors, Alex stopped us all.

He looked over at Chris and I. "Put your arm round her when we go out," he demanded him.

We walked out into the chilly city. Alex put his arm around his girl, and she followed by clasping her small hand with his big one. Frank and Lily followed their actions. Chris put his arm around me like it was second nature. I sneaked a look at him, and I really took in all his features.

He had a little peach fuzz. It wasn't completely noticeable, but it would be if he didn't shave soon. I noticed that something was behind his neck. I tilted my head back a little more to see it was a tattoo. The same tattoo everybody else had in this little group. His was a little larger, but not as large as Alex's. It started at the end of his hairline in the back and the wings spread all the way to the end of his shoulders. What kind of design is this?

"Can I help you?" He asked me still facing forward.

"No," I said back embarrassed at how he caught me. I turned my head back to the front.

We walked a few more feet before we saw the car. Chris went to the divers seat as Frank went to the passenger's seat with him. Alex and his girl sat together in the back leaving Lily and I the middle section. He began to drive once everybody was settled in and the doors were locked. I picked up on the soft tune in the back. It sounded like an old 90's R&B song.

It was really warm in the cozy car, but an uncomfortable silence lingered in the air. I couldn't tell if it was from me, or the anger that fueled into everyone that Jessie had caused. I'm the type of person who has to focus on something else when stations like this arise. I looked from the side of my eye to sneak a peek at Lily to see how she was. She was emotionless, but I noticed something on her neck. She had a scar on the side of her neck. It looked like a really deep and nasty scratch. What happened to her? I decided to turn away before she could catch me staring just like Chris did.

It was silent until Alex's girl spoke up, "I'm Lina if you didn't know that already."

I turned around in my seat to face her. She held a small smile on her face. "It's nice to meet you."

"What's your name?"

"Ciara," I gave her my stripper name. They do not need to know who I am.

"So you work at Panera?"

"Yeah the one over in Manhattan."

"You from Brooklyn, ain't you?"

I laughed shaking my head. "How'd you know?"

"I could tell you not from around here. I guess you could say it was a lucky guess." She laughed. "But it's werid because I almost couldn't tell if you was from there."

"How?"

"Your voice. It's like soft and everything, but it's deep too. I thought you were from Harlem at first."

"Hell nah."

We both laughed after that before falling in a comfortable silence.

We stopped at a white connected houses complex. It was a nice place, at least nicer than what I'm used to seeing. We got out of the car walking up to the black steel fence. Chris unlocked it opening it for all of us to go in. Alex knocked on the door waiting for someone to answer. The door opened revealing a guy who was dressed in a T shirt and black sweatpants. He was buff with a jawline that could cut a bitch. He had swoopy black hair and brown eyes to match his baby face. He looked so familiar.
