I groaned when I felt a shove on my arm. I slowly opened my eyes to see Lily standing over me. She was wearing shorts with an oversized hoodie, I'm assuming Frank's, with her hair in space buns. She had on fuzzy socks. I lazily noticed she had the rose and wings design on her left inner thigh. I looked at her confusingly at why she woke me up.

"We leavin for the Bronx soon." She told me.

I nodded my head rubbing my eyes before sitting up only to realize I slept in my work clothes.

I rubbed my eyes trying to get rid of the crust. "What time is it?" I asked her.

She checked her phone. "Six."

Thank god I don't have to work at Starbucks today. When she saw what I was wearing, she began to look at me sadly remembering all that went down last night. "Let me get you some new clothes." She told me going out of the room.

She walked back handing me a white sweater and black jeans. I thanked her before changing. She sat on the bed opposite to me turning away to give me some privacy. When I was done, I sat on the bed and shared the slience with her. I still can't believe all of that happened last night, and here I am now. Who would've ever known?

"Sorry that you had to experience and hear and see all at shit last night," she apologized breaking the ice.

"Thanks. Are you um....okay?" I asked in order not to fall in an awkward silence.

"I'm straight. Thanks for asking." She said, and I could tell she was lying by the twitch of her grin. There's no way anyone could calm down that quickly over a matter like that.
"I haven't properly introduced myself," she said sitting up when we landed in an awkward silence. I turned my attention to her. "I'm Lily. What's your name?" She smiled. She had a really nice smile even over all the shit that happened last night.

"Ciara." I grinned back.

"What do you do for work?" She asked.

"I'm a stripper, but I work at Panera and Starbucks on the side."

She started laughing and took another sip from her drink. "Yo, so you that bad bitch that Jessie was goin on bout the other night?"

I rolled my eyes. "What was this nigga sayin?"

"Yo, he was dumb mad walkin into the group like 'Yo, I just got robbed. This bitch at the Key's Club was giving me a lap dance, and didn't even finish but made me pay.' Yo, he was hot, but Ethan and Lina were like, 'I would've been pissed if you tried to walk out without paying me either.' And so they all were going back and forth on it until Jessie had to do his shit."

"I love makin bum niggas mad."

She laughed. "That how y'all met?"

"Yes."

"Yo, I'm sorry you had to meet him, and he got you into all this shit."

I shrugged and realized how much she says 'yo,' but I let it slide because whenever she says it it sounds cool. "I try to live by everything happens for a reason." It was silent after that until I asked her, "How long you and Frank been together?"

She smiled. "Eight months."

"How y'all meet?"

"I moved from Chicago to New York and needed a place to stay. At first, I was a maid, but that barely got me anywhere. Then, I became an escort, and that got me some quick green. One night I was escorting this dude, and Frank saw me with the guy who was paying me to escort him to this fancy dinner or whatever. So he comes up to me, and we start talking. I was like this nigga funny and cute maybe I should let him shoot his shot, and he did. We were talkin and dating for a lil bit until he asked me to be his girl. Ever since then, we've been dating."
