"Well why are you on this side, big boy?" I asked catching my arm from his grip.
He shook his head and started to laugh. "To pick you up. Why else?"
"How did you know where I be?"
"Your bff, Kayla, told me."
I rolled my eyes at him. "You wanna tell me where you takin me, buddy?"
"Where else would you think I was taking you, girly?" He sarcastically asked me.
"I don't know that's why I'm asking you."
He stopped on the sidewalk. He turned to look at me with an irritated expression present on his strong features. "You're lucky I like you."
"No need to get irritated. We're just talking," I said patting his shoulder walking in front of him.
I could hear him run up to me to catch up. "Do you even know where you're going?"
"You won't tell me anything, so I guess I gotta find it myself."
"Shit, just walk beside me," he muttered under his breath.
"Glad we're on the same page."
I saw him roll his eyes, but I knew he wasn't completely serious about it. Like Lily said, he's just a big kid. We were walking silently through the harsh wind for a while, and it made me wonder how far he parked away. I gathered my hair together to put in a bun because I remembered I brought a scarf with me. I was searching for it when I heard faint laughing from the side of me. I turned my head to see Ethan bitting his lip to cover his giggles.
"What's so funny?"
He started shaking his head releasing his bottom lip to fully laugh. "I'm gonna see if anyone else notices before I tell you."
"Just tell me."
"Nah it'll be funnier once we get to the house."
"If we can find your damn car."
"It's right there," he said pulling out his keys.
We approached a black Benz that was fresh as hell. It looked straight out of the shop with how it shinned under the moonlight and the small flakes of snow that were starting to stick. Now that I think about it, every car I've seen from them is the color black. When we got in the car, I turned to Ethan who was waiting for the car to warm up.
"Why do y'all all have black cars?"
"I guess we all like the color black." That's when he turned to look at me with a smirk. "Especially Grayson." He winked.
I scoffed. "Shut the fuck up and just drive, Ethan."
He laughed but began to drive when the car got warm enough. The overbearing slience of not knowing where I'm going killed me. I knew I was heading to their house, but for what reason.
"Will you please tell me why you're taking me to the house?"
"It's poker night," he answered while keeping his eyes on the road.
"Who would ever guess a gang would have a poker night?" I snickered.
"Well, we're not like all gangs babe."
