Chapter 15

We all looked up to see Grayson looking confused and annoyed. He was in a black shirt with grey sweatpants. He must have taken a shower, since his hair was wet, and heard Frank's laugh from up there. He looked so good even without his earring. I regretted looking like trash tonight. He looked up at the front of the room to see Chris, Kayla, and I standing in the middle. When his eyes landed on me, he began to smirk. I don't know why, I looked awful.

"What you doing here?" He asked me with delight dancing in his eyes.
I didn't want to look away from him, but I rather look not interested than blush any harder.

"Yes, explain how this all came about," Alex said looking charmed holding his drink.

"Well, Kayla and I met when this pimp was tryin flex on her, so I pounded him off, and drove her home. We've been talkin since then, and I asked her out like a week after. We was meetin up tonight, and she like can I bring a friend. I say sure because I wanna meet her friends, ya know. Turns out her best friend's Cindy."

"Don't you mean Ciara?" Grayson interrupted asking him.

That's when Frank started dying laughing again while others snickered. "Her real name's Cindy," Lily told him rubbing her boyfriend's back again.

Grayson looked back at me with a smirk nodding his as he put two and two together. "Cindy....I like it," he told me staring dead into my eyes.
Damn, this nigga makes me to commit 50 sins in one night, and I don't know how to feel about that.

"Well anyway, Kayla asked if we knew each other because we weren't being smooth just staring at each other, then we just told her what's up, and she wanted to meet the rest of y'all," Chris explained to them.

Now, everybody turned to Kayla who was standing with a small grin as she didn't know what other face to make. They didn't say anything to her just stared at her. It wasn't a rude stare like she was a zoo animal. It was more like an observant stare taking in their first impression of her.

"You guys have matching belly rings...friendship must be deep," Ethan joked.

People began to slowly laugh at the realization.

"You guys got matching faces....birth must've been deep," Kayla joked back with a smirk on her face.

Ethan and Grayson joined to the laugh along with everybody else's snickers.

"Alright, alright I'll be the first to introduce myself," Lina said getting up from Alex's arm going to Kayla. She had a small smile on her face, and held out her hand. "I'm Lina, Alex's wife." She spoke in so much confidence it was moving almost. She looked over at me throwing a small welcoming smile.

Kayla's face was in shock. "Y'all married?"

"Yea."

"That's cute. How long?"

"A year in less than a week," Lina started smiling too hard, and Alex began to smile also.

First time I've ever seen him smile. He had perfect straight white teeth that just made his whole face glow. "Nah but, she's the cute one," Alex said when she walked back over to him. He placed a kiss on her forehead when she laid her head in his shoulder.

"I'm Lily," she spoke up from the couch. Kayla grinned at her before turning to Frank.

"Frank," he nodded his head at her. She did the same back.
