It was the night of Grayson's boxing match. First of the season, and the first time I've ever seen him seriously box. The week leading up to this night consisted of me working like a slave, so Kayla and I could make rent though we were barely there anymore. Every night, we spent the night at our man's house. Well to be man in my case. Ethan was still in Rhode Island with Tara, but Grayson assured me he would be at his match tonight. I was glad because I missed seeing his goofy self. Before tonight, Kayla, Lina, Lily, and I all went out for lunch with Bella being the plus one.

I learned that Bella had been switching off with staying with Lina and Elena's house everyday ever since she found out the truth. Derek took Lily's advice to do the right thing, so sadly there was no dressing up for a wedding this week. When I saw her, the bags under her eyes told me she was devastated and hurt by the news, but she never broke up with Derek. In her defense, throwing away a five year relationship was not easy. In Derek's defense, the incident happened during the time they took a break, yet it wasn't a specified break. And as for Sofia, she'll be better off moving out of the state before Elena or Lina gets her hands on her. More so Elena than Lina. I found all this out over lunch.

Along with all this drama happening this week, there were also moments where all the stress on my shoulders was lifted from being with Grayson. We learned a lot about each other this week. For instance, he hates when people wish him good luck before a match because it makes him even more nervous. He said it puts too much pressure on his shoulders and mind. I sat through one of his practices where I met his coach and gym buddies. All of them were very nice expect his coach who was polite. That's the best way I could describe his disposition.

I was now in the backroom with Grayson, his coach, and a few other observers and teammates of Grayson's. Him and his coach were warming up while I sat on the couch nervous as hell who he would be fighting. What if he was ten times bigger than Grayson? What if he knocks him out so hard he'll have brain damage? What if he kills him? That last what if sent chills down my spine. I knew Grayson was big and muscular, but what did the other guy look like?

I came back to reality when I heard Grayson call my name. I looked up to see him taking a water break.

"Sorry, what?"

He snickered. "Are you going to be on the sidelines with me?"

Before I could answer, his coach intervened, "no. She'll distract you, and you don't need any distractions your first match. You need a medal."

Grayson's brows furrowed, and his jaw clenched. "Don't talk-"

I arose from the couch and wrapped my arms around his waist before things got messy. "Grayson," I said making him stop mid sentence. I gave him a confronting smile. "It's okay. He's right you need to focus. I'll be sitting in the stands front row."

"But I want you on the sidelines with me."

I blushed before smiling. "I'll be cheering you on, and I won't look away even if you get hit, which I know isn't gonna happen. I promise."

He looked at me another second before nodding his head. I stood on my tippy toes and placed a kiss on his lips. It was quick and sweet, but it was my way of saying good luck.

"Hey girl," Kayla said once I sat next to her.

She and Chris were sitting in front of Lina, Alex, Frank, and Lily. I didn't expect everybody to come, but that was a stupid assumption. Those are his niggas of course they're going to come.
