Chapter 16

He brought me closer to him. I immendentily crossed my legs before he turned to make another move. Our eyes were glued on each other, and I couldn't look away from his chocolate orbs no matter how badly I needed to. He dropped his arm around my waist and placed the other on my knee.

"So you approve of the fourth idea?" He asked lowly.

I gathered myself together slowly building my confidence back up. I lightly pushed his hand off of my leg. "I'm not fast, so go with a fifth idea if you're tryna get laid."

He chuckled shaking his head before rubbing his hand up and down my side. I got the chills from his touch, but it was a chill I've never felt before. It was chill that I liked.

"For some reason your body is telling me a different response."

"Y'all goin to the race tonight?" Alex asked walking back in the room.

I tried to part from Grayson, but his hand on my hip wasn't letting me. I decided to let it go and make things look as normal as possible. I faced the front to Alex and Lina, but saw no Kayla nor Chris.

"Where's Kayla and Chris?" I asked.

"Told them go out and enjoy they little date and bring Kayla back to spend the night," Lina said. "You can stay the night too if you want."

"Nah, but thanks for the offer," I told her and started walking to the door when Grayson finally let go of me.

"Where're you going?" Grayson asked meeting me at the door.

"You stalkin me now?" I joked.

"Wouldn't call it stalking."

"What do you call it, then?"

"Going with my second idea, and getting the fuck out of here, so where're you about to go? I wanna take you out."

"Is this your way of asking me out on a date?" I asked arching an eyebrow.

"Call it what you want."

"I'll call it a date."

"Then it's a date."

I leaned back against the door crossing my arms. "Give me a reason why I should go on a date with you."

Grayson came closer to me to the point where our noses were touching. I could feel his steady breathing against my rapid breathing picking up each second. When his lips brushed past mine, I thought my heart would rip from my chest. He laughed at my sudden rushing pulse.
"I don't mean to be rude, but what else do you have to do tonight?"

"Where're you taking me?"

"Where do you wanna go?"

I pushed myself off the door, so I could lightly push him against the door. I leaned against him, and he put his hands above my hips. I looked down at his hands before looking up and straight into his eyes. "Somewhere expensive, and don't make me regret my descion."

I pushed myself off of him get to the steps seeing if Lily had anything nice to wear. Maybe she could design something for me since she makes clothes. Each step I took, the wooden stairs would creek below me. I felt his eyes on the back of me staring me down each movement I made. When I went in the hallway where he couldn't see me, I leaned against the wall. I can't believe I just did that. I didn't even know I had that much courage. After my realization hit me like a train, I smirked to myself because I'm that bitch.
