"Hey Cindy," Angel greeted me sitting across from me.

I nodded my head at her and grinned while chewing my sandwich. She laughed at how lopsided it looked. She started pulling out her lunch which was neatly packed in her teal lunchbox she probably got at Target. She's cute and innocent like that. She's also the one of the only people I fuck with at my Starbucks job because she's always so helpful and never gets in my way like the rest of my coworkers.

She started drinking her bottle of apple juice she brought from home. She looked so neat and pretty just eating her food softly while I looked like a fucking slob who hasn't eaten in days.

"What time you get off?" I asked her when I swallowed my sandwich.

"One. What about you?"

I looked at the watch on my wrist. It was a cheap little thing that I got at a gift shop a while back when Kayla and I went up to Pennsyliva for the weekend, but it always had the right time. It was a simple girls trip that we decided when we left the group home and graduated from high school. A leisure before we started our adult life.
"I get off in 30 minutes."

"Then you have to work another shift at Panera?"

"Yea, but it's only until it eight then I'm out," I answered taking another bite from my sandwich.

"Man I'm sorry, Cindy."

I started cleaning up my space and started getting up to throw my trash away. I shrugged. "Money's money, so I'm not complaining."
I walked back over to her after I finished throwing everything away. She continued munching on her sandwich and sipping her apple juice. We sat there in silence for a while which was stupid since it was cold outside, but it was better than the inside where the chaos is.

"Wait," she started. She gulped her sandwich before turning to look at me with a confused expression. "You work at Panera in Manhattan, right?"

"Yea."

"Isn't that the one that for robbed like a month ago?"

I shook my head at the memory, and how that all went down. It's hard to believe I met all of them a little over two months ago, and I'm still talking to them. And that asshole, Jessie, was still alive at that time. It's surreal to think Grayson was the one behind the gun, but like Lina said, all these boys are cold and heartless.
"Yea."

"You're not scared to go back and work there?"

"Nah. I mean all the robbers stole were some cameras and tapes." To keep their asses safe I wanted to add but didn't.

"Wow you must be really strong to continue working there."

I laughed at how she was treating this stituation like it was some murder scene. "You gassing it Angel."

"I wonder what was on those tapes."

I turned to look at her in a train of thought. "What do you mean by that?"

"Like I understand they broke in and everything, but JUST to steal some cameras and the tapes? There had to be more to it than that."

"Angel-"

"I mean really think about it," she said turning to me now. "Why would a person whose intentions are to rob only take cameras and tapes...unless there was something more on them."
I swear I saw a light go off in her head.

I shrugged turning to the side of me trying to play it cool. "Who knows what they were thinking."

"I mean could you tell?" She asked.
