"Pass over the money, bitch!" She laughed.
"We just started playin. You ain't gettin shit," Charley said.
He is really bulky for kid who has been in and out of homes since he was four. I feel bad for the little nigga with his parents abandoning like that just for some drugs. Shit, I know Matt put me in some fucked up stituations, but he never gave up on me. I hope he's doing okay up in Riker's. That's a hella long sentence he's serving, but I did the best I could. At least I'll see him next week.
"You talkin big for someone who bout to lose," Kayla continued to talk her talk.
She doesn't play when it comes to cards. It doesn't matter if it's poker, UNO, or crazy 8's. She always talk this big no matter what.
"Nah you bout to lose."
"Would y'all shut the fuck up and play the game," Logan intervened.
Logan is the only white boy in the group home. He hangs with the black folks at school though. He has swoopy blonde hair with light blue eyes and is pale as day. He can be weird sometimes, but other than that he seems like a pretty cool dude. I'm not really sure what his story is because I've never really talked to him. Only reason why Kayla and I are in the same space as him is because Charley is here. They're pretty good friends since they have to do the same chores together.
"Oh no don't shoot me!" Kayla said fake frightened.
Her and Charley shared a snicker while I just rolled my eyes at her. She's always mad teasing him when he gets mad. One day he's actually going to be mad enough to knock her out.
"Shut up and go make me some curry."
Kayla and Charley's laughing slowly stopped when the words left his mouth. She slowly looked up at him with narrowed eyes while Charley looked between the both of them to see what Kayla would say. "Fuck you just say to me?" Kayla asked.
"You heard me, Indian bitch."
Kayla pointed a finger at him. "Now, I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but you not gonna talk to me like that."
"Yea man that's fucked up," Charley chimed in.
"What's fucked up is how you're defending a racist!" He raised his voice throwing down his cards.
"She ain't bein racist," I told him.
"How is she not being racist?"
"Because that's not the way it works man," Charley told him.
"Yea people of color can't be racist," Kayla told him.
"I'm a person of color too!"
"Nigga how?" I asked him.
"I'm white...white is a color."
"Shut your ass up because you not makin any sense," Kayla told him looking back at her cards.
"And I thought Indians were suppose to be smart. No wonder why your whore of a mother shipped you off," he muttered.
