"Hey love." I heard a familiar voice say and I opened my eyes to see who it was "What?" I asked confused "I said hi love." she said smiling and I touched her face "Your here?" I asked and hugged her "Yes Im here, Im always here." she said smiling. She got up and walked over to the crib our sleeping daughter was laying in "I can't believe shes a girl." she said dumbfounded "me either." I said not taking my eyes of of the women "She sure is beautiful Alex." she said turning towards me "just like her mom" I said now looking at the baby.
She walked closer to me and whispered in my ear then leaned away from me. "That's her name" she said and I agreed nodding my head. "I always wanted a girl. I also wanted my baby to have a family unlike me." she said giving the baby a sad smile and then touching her face and the baby stirred.
"You make sure our daughter has a family okay Alex." she told me "she will she already has so many people that love her." I said "tell her about me, and raise her right, make sure she learns her manners and protect her but don't be a crazy dad." she said a tear rolling out of her eye "I miss you." I said grabbing her hand "I miss you to Alex but when you wake up I won't be here so you have to remember everything I am saying okay?" "I will. I love you." "I love you to and I always will." she said kissing me "Goodbye." she whispered in my ear.
I woke up with only me in the bed and I was disappointed she wasn't here with me. I walked over to the baby and she woke up. "Hi sweet heart, I'm going to get you some food okay." I said smiling I went to get the bottle and put formula in it and warmed it up. I walked back over to her and picked her up to feed her "I have a name for you honey, your mom helped me pick it out." I said smiling at her "We just have to go to the hospital tomorrow and then your name will be official, now you can just eat and not have a worry in the world." I paused "Daddy will always be here to protect you. You will always be my little girl."
