Chapter 17

Alex

I woke up to the sounds of Addy baby talking. I stretched and then got up and walked over to her crib. "Hey baby girl!" I said smiling and she looked up at me with her big eyes that matched Jo's.

I picked her up and walked to the changing table I set her on it and changed her diaper. I then picked her clothes out and dressed her. "Okay little one lets go get you a bottle." I said happily.

I walked downstairs with Addy in my arms and Bailey was sat at the table eating and Meredith was in the kitchen holding Ellis getting some breakfast for Zola.

"Hey supermom." I said passing her "hey superdad." She said and I had one big laugh "oh yeah right." I said and she smirked.

I got the bottle ready and started to feed her when Maggie came downstairs all dressed. "Hey will you feed her while I get dressed? Thanks." I said handing her my baby "Alex I need to eat!" She said and I ran up the stairs.

I hurried and put on some jeans and a t-shirt.

It had been a little while since I moved into Mer's so we all had the routine pretty much down.

I ran back downstairs and found Maggie burping Addy and now instead of Bailey sitting and eating it was Zola.

I ate a pop tart quick and went into the living room to find Bailey playing. "Come on dude lets go get you dressed." I said patting Bailey's back.

I picked him up and went up the stairs to the room he shared with Zola. "Okay what should we wear today?" I asked putting him down "hmmm." He said that being his favorite sound of the week "hmmmm." I said with him.

He ran to his closet and picked out a shirt with a guitar on it and then another one with a surf board on it.

"So beach or rocker?" I said stroking my pretend beard and he started laughing "let's go with rocker?" I asked him and he nodded his head.

I went to his drawers and grabbed a pair of stretchy jeans that looked like skinny jeans. "Okay." I said zooming to him acting like an airplane and he laughed some more.

"Okay ticker time to get undressed." I said with a serious face "okay boss." He said laughing.

I then put his rocker shirt on and then his pants I then grabbed his little converse and put them on.

"Okay should we go do your hair and brush your teeth?" I asked and he shook his head no "well to bad." I said grabbing him and running down the hall to the bathroom.

I opened the door and everyone was in there. "Hello everyone." I said "hello everyone." Bailey then said mocking me. "You little turd." I said messing up his hair and putting him down.

"Mommy look at my rocker outfit." He said excitedly "oh you look so cool bud!" She said holding Ellis in one hand and her tooth brush in the other.

I did Baileys hair and helped get the toothpaste on his toothbrush and then did my hair and brushed my teeth.

We all looked like one strange family in the bathroom as I looked around at all of us.

I started laughing "what's so funny?" Meredith and Maggie asked at the same time. "We just look like one strange family in here." And everyone started laughing beside Addy and Ellis.

We then had to have the adventure of getting everyone in the car. We all rushed out the door Maggie racing Zola and Bailey while I held Ellis' and Addy's car seats in each of my hand while Mer locked up.

Maggie then helped Bailey get in his car seat in the very back of the car and I helped Zola get in her booster next to Bailey. "You got it?" I asked Zola and then a second later she looked at me excitedly "I did it!" She said "good job big girl." I said giving her a high five.

I then put Addy's car seat in the car while Maggie put Ellis' in after I got Addy's in I then walked to the passengers side and sat in the chair buckling up.

"Good job partner." Maggie said holding a hand out to me and I highfived her. Soon after Mer go in the drivers seat starting up the car.

"Everyone buckled?" Mer asked "yes" we all called out besides the babies. And then we drove off to the hospital.
