Chapter 23

Meredith

I hurry and get the seat belt off of Ellis, I pull her out of the car and lay her on the ground trying to access her injuries. From the front she looked okay besides a couple scratches and bruises but on her backside she was impaled with a small piece of metal which could have possibly punctured her lung or hurt her spine. 

I start CPR trying to make her breathe again but I also can't stop crying. I hear the kids behind me crying to "Kids everything is going to be alright okay." I tell them trying to calm them down. 

I then hear sirens "Oh thank god." I mutter under my breath. 

"Hear those sirens? They are going to help us then take us to the hospital." I tell them still pumping my daughters chest.  "Then you knows who going to take care of us?" I ask them trying to get there mind off of this "Aunty April." says Zola "and?" I ask "Aunt Arizona." says Addy crying "Grandpa." Bailey says talking about Richard "and Uncle Owen." he adds "Aunt Amelia." Zola adds "Yeah all of your aunts and uncles." I tell them the sirens are getting closer and the lights are getting so bright which means they are so close.

The ambulances come to a stop in front of us, so many ambulances are here, so many people are coming out of the ambulances and running up to me. 

"She's not breathing, she, shes not breathing." I tell the person standing above me "Ma'm please step back and let us help." "I'm a doctor at Grey Sloan Memorial, only take us there no where else." I tell them still pumping my daughters heart for her. "Okay ma'm but you haveto step back so I can help your little girl." 

I step back and the person takes over "Ma'm come with us so we can take a look at you." I start to feel dizzy "No my kids, help the kids first." I tell him turning around, but the kids aren't there. "We have already took them they are on there way to Grey Sloan Memorial" "Okay." I say feeling my head and I feel liquid I look down at my hand and see blood.

"I'm bleeding?" "Yes, please come with us." Then I remembered something "Alex!" I screamed "I was with someone, Alex, hes a doctor to, he was sitting in the passengers seat." I turn in circles trying to find him. "You have to f-" I was then cut off by darkness.
