17: Nanah.

Amelia Greene's Pov

"You can't stay like that forever." Zander mused from beside me.

"Ah khaan." I huffed out. I was actually trying to say I can but my words got muffled by the books.

"Oh, fuck this." I heard him mumbled before he yanked the books out of my hand which I was using as a shield to hide my face more like half of my face.

After Ms. Steele's comment about me gaping at Zander the whole class started looking at me as if I was a stalker. They kept stealing glances our way to see my reaction but when I looked at them they would snicker and turn away.

Some girls even sent me a disgusted look. Neither the teacher nor Zander noticed any of these looks because Zander was dozing off and the teacher didn't stop her lecture once.

"Hey, give that back." I stretched my arms to grab my books that was now in his hands. He rolled his eyes but shoved the book on my hands back nonetheless.

"Thank you." I gave him a bright smile as soon as the book reached my hands and I hugged them to my chest again.

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes but looked amused.

"You are supposed to say, You're welcome." I nodded my head as I looked up at him.

He was tall, very tall or maybe I was short, very short but let's just stick with him being tall.

"I don't care." He shrugged and shoved his hands into his pant pockets. I narrowed my eyes at him as he looked indifferent about it.

"Amelia." Hannah suddenly yelled but her voice got quieter when she said Lia. I turned around to face her but found her gaping at Zander like an awestruck fan girl.

"Hi Hannah." Zander gave her a small nod in acknowledgment but instead of greeting him back her eyes grew wide as she cupped her mouth with her hand. Zander looked highly amused by her reaction as he smirked knowingly.

I don't think she'd be able talk any time soon now so I decided to take the matters in my hands.

"Um.. We would join you in a bit." I said scratching my head nervously as I shifted from one foot to foot and grabbed Hannah by her arm.

"Sure and be there." He seemed a little reluctant and his last two words meant for me to be there without delay. I nodded my head quickly giving him a smile that held a promise that I would be there. He looked at me for a second before he turned around and walked towards the cafeteria.

"You have a hell lot of explaining to do Amelia Sandra Greene." Hannah whisper yelled angrily as soon as Zander was out of our sight.

Now she can talk.

"What?" I feigned ignorance and gave her an innocent smile making my way towards my locker to keep my books as I've not carried my back pack today.

She scoffed not believing me as she started following me. "I'm not gonna fall for that so you better tell me everything. Everything." She said everything slowly as she crossed her arms under her chest with an impatient look plastered on her face.

We reached my locker soon because it was close to my history class. I kept my books then shut the locker, I turned towards Hannah as she was waiting for me to reply.

"Well then, you too tell me why Kyle called you Nanah?" I held my head high and asked her confidently. Hannah's hand dropped to her side, her jaw dropped and she grew red at my question.

"It's nothing." Hannah squeaked out suddenly as she linked our arms and pulled me towards the cafeteria.

"Uh-uh." I mumbled not buying her lie.
