I'd rather die than watch you fall for her,
The way you look at her with those
Beautiful eyes of yours.
The way you stand by her side
Like you never want to leave.
I'd rather die than listen to your voice,
As you sing her a lullaby to sleep.
How every single word of it
Drowns me in this ocean so deep.
I'd rather die than see your smile,
Not the cause of my existence.
That I am just a nobody in your life
And now I'm falling to pieces.
I'd rather die than be just your friend,
Whom you call at night to tell stories
About her and her alone.
I always wish I was her.
I'd rather die than be an audience,
As you tell each other your vows.
As you sealed your love with a kiss,
And how I died a thousand times
Whenever I'm with you.
I'd rather die without a trace
Left for you to cry.
As you hear out my love for you
From my friends, without me by your side.
I'd rather die than force you to
Love me back and fix my heart
That is now just a pile of ash,
Just like my love for you.
I'd rather die than dream of you and me,
Living our own infinity.
That's how I'd rather die for you.
[ Most of my poems are for him but I don't know if he's even aware of it. ]
