Scared

A part of us has always been,

Scared of the little things.

We all have our greatest fears,

What we think, see and hear.

We're scared of the shadows,

The monsters under our beds.

We're scared to be high up a building,

Most of us never tell.

We're scared to cross the bridge,

Even dive on the ocean.

We're scared of wild animals,

Most of them are reptiles.

But we're not scared to love,

'Cause it's not love that we fear.

We're scared of the pain inflicted,

When someone ever leaves.

We're not scared of the dark,

It's just because we're alone.

We're not scared to jump,

It's the thought that we're about to fall.

There are a lot of things

We wished we're never scared of.

There are a lot of reasons

Why we have to be brave.

It's mind over matter,

A friend used to tell me.

It's now or never,

We have to face our fears.
