I can see the trail of misery behind your eyes,
Tracing down to your fake smile,
Telling me stories,
Of the pain you hold inside.
You don't let people know,
Just how much agony you go through everyday,
The words you speak, are nothing but lies.
Your smile so well perfected,
A mask of happiness, that you try on everyday.
I can see through it all,
Your mask was broken,
And ripped apart at the seams.
Don't let their words,
Tear you to shreds,
You're so much more, than what has been said.
Your true smile,
So captivating and luring,
Yet so fragile, and broken.
Your eyes,
So mesmerizing and bright,
Yet so pained, and filled with regret.
Everything about you,
Every little detail,
Made me wonder,
It made me question everything,
Including the reason we're alive.
