"Sasuke I think this is enough. We already pass the Hidden Leaf Village." said Sakon. "So what's up?" asked Sasuke. "Lord Orochimaru gave us an important task to take care of when we reach this point." explained Sakon. "And that is?" the sound four laughs.

"Im afraid before we go any further you must die this once." Sakon said. "I must die once?" said Sasuke confused. "You will take one of these awakening pills..." said Sakon. "What's it for?" Awakening from what?" he asked. "That mark on your neck is just in its first stage. But those pills will stimulate and magnify its power, making it a level two." Tayuya explained.

"One problem, strengthening the curse mark will also increase its effects on your body. Such a rapid change will kill you at once. And so to ensure you survive the transition to the second stage. We must give your body time to get accustomed to it. Several hours at least, after that once the transition is complete your power maybe even equal to ours. Unfortunately, the fact remains that even with these preparations. You still have to die." said Sakon.

"So I'm dead. What will happen after that?"

"Not to worry, why do you think my friends and I are here for?" Sakon assured then started to walk towards him to give the pill bottle.

"We'll cast a barrier ninjutsu to lever the effects. Instead of dying you'll be in a state of half death for a while-"

"And I'm supposed to trust you guys that this half death won't end up as the real thing?"

"Listen Sasuke, don't forget who we are. We're Orochimaru's handpick bodyguards. If there's anybody whose knows about curse marks barrier ninjutsu and all the rest. That'll be us." Kidomaru said.

'Ones thing for sure, I can't afford to die, not here.' Sasuke thought. "I guess I'm in your hands..." said Sasuke. Sakon nodded. He poured out one pill then gave it to Sasuke. He took it then felt a sudden pain. Sakon quickly took out a large scroll. "Right, we gotta do this quickly or we'll lose him." Sakon said. Sasuke fell to his knees. They put him into a barrel with markings on it.

"Get in position now!" yelled Sakon jumping back and putting his hands together. They all pit their hands up in the air. Purple aura surrounds their heads. A black mist appears. Then they drop their hands to the ground. "Four black mist formation." They all said. The mist went into the barrel closing it. Sakon then seals it. "There that will hold him for now."

The sound four was walking down the path with Sasuke barrel on Jirobo back. When Sakon felt a presence, "One...no...two." Tayuya said. "Get ready!" Kidomaru yelled. Two leaf ninja blocked the four. "They're Orochimaru men." said Raido. "Judging from what the four has taken, they just came from the village." Genma said.

"What'd you got in the coffin?" asked Genma. "Fighting two Jounins at once? This will be fun..." Kidomaru grins, his curse mark spreading. 'They all have the curse mark...' thought Genma. "You might want to think this one over. It won't be like last time." Raido said.

"You're right scum, you won't survive this time." said Tayuya.

After a long battle, sadly Genma and Raido were defeated. The retrieval time was getting close. "The scent of two new comers converges on the scent of Sasuke and four others." said Kiba.

"The other two others stayed behind while Sasuke group moved on. So what now?"

'Man this is turning out as such a drag,' Shikamaru thought.

"It's obvious we gotta get Sasuke...but since Kiba smelled blood, which might be from the new comers. Going to that spot might give us some information." said Naruto.
