Chapter 32: The Bet

Jiraiya went into a shop and asked if they saw Tsunade. "You sure you saw her?" he asked. "Yeah, I think she said she has to get back the money she lost." The man said. "She said she heading over there." - "Heading over there? What do you mean?" Jiraiya asked. "Hey kid, you want to roll some dice?" another man asked Naruto. Naruto was leaning against the wall. He looked up to acknowledge the man. "Check it out. If you roll the dice and it comes out odd than its Han. And if it's even than its Cho." The man explained. "Mind being quiet? You're ruining my train of though." Naruto said.

"Man what a boring kid." The man said. Naruto didn't say anything. "Fine if I play, will you tell that old man where she is? You were looking at him as if you got something to say....I'm tired of the same old questions." Naruto replied. "Sure, but don't expect it to be free at a place like this." The man accepted. He threw the dice in a cup and started making random moves and then slammed it on the floor. "Let's make a deal, if you win then the information will be free, but if you lose it's going to cost you a thousand." The man suggested.

"Alright, you're on old man." Naruto said. He sat down. "What would it be?" Han or Cho?" the man asked. "Cho" responded Naruto. "You sure? If it's Han, it will be my win." The man said. "I'm sure." Confirmed Naruto. The man started to lift the cup up. The dice turned out to be ten. "Looks like it's my win old man." Naruto grinned. 'Wow the day of your birthday.' Kurama said. 'Yeah...Aren't I lucky?' Naruto thought. Jiraiya and Naruto left the place to where the man said she'll be. After looking there they didn't see her. So instead they went around town to look.

"Well damn. Where is she?" Jiraiya complained looking around. Naruto looked to his left and saw an old women motioning him to come to her. Naruto looked around just in case if she was really pointing to him. She nodded her head and he went to her. Jiraiya turned around and sees Naruto leave. "Hm...a scratch off stand?" Jiraiya said. "Kids, grown up, everyone loves the lotto. Give it a try cutie! It's fun!" the lady cheerfully said. "How about this one? You'll know right away if you've won!" she said showing him a card. "Sure." Naruto said.

Naruto returned with his black pouch looking even fatter. 'I can't believe he won off with one ticket. The kid must have a knack of gambling.' Jiraiya jealously thought. 'Any how I need to focus on finding Tsunade. Where could she be? She couldn't have gone far in such a short time.' Thought Jiraiya. Jiraiya looked up. 'I guess we can use the high ground and look around.' He took a binocular out from his robe. 'If I remember correctly. This town is surrounds a castle. If we climb up from the top we may.' He thought. "Hey Naruto!" he called out. Naruto was on top of the wall running towards him.

"Come now, don't you want to see them, dear Tsunade?" Orochimaru said. A sly smile appears on his face. Tsunade thinks about her brother and her beloved. Nawaki and Dan Kato. "What do you plan on doing once your arms been restored to you?" she asked. "Well you know me, I'm never one to lie. So I'll give you the truth." Orochimaru replied.

"Where is this castle you were talking about?" Naruto asked. He clearly couldn't see it. Jiraiya looked up once again. "It's gone!" he replied. "In addition to getting all I want. This time around I will destroy the Hidden Leaf Village!" Orochimaru answered. Jiraiya got on top of the wall as well. They see the debris of the castle. "What do you think happened?" Naruto asked. Jiraiya didn't reply. Villagers were yelling "Run!!!" that had caught Naruto and Jiraiya attention.

"Hey you there! What's going on?" Jiraiya shouted to one of the running man. The man stopped. "If you're smart, you'll run too. There's a monster up there." The man replied and started to run again.

"A monster?" said Naruto confused. "What kind of monster?" asked Jiraiya. The man yelled back "A SNAKE! A huge snake, it crushed the castle effortlessly." Jiraiya was silent. 'Snake? Don't tell me...' Naruto thought. "Naruto lets go. This could be the same snake that attacked the village. I like a closer look at the monster." Jiraiya said and started running.
