Devin's P.O.V
I guess you could say that the weather matched with my mood completely. The sky was crying for me right now as I wasn't anymore but my heart was still aching. I was already dressed you could say and sitting in the small kitchen, watching the rain come down in slowly and not really so hard. I tapped my fingers against the window as I watched carefully. I was losing track of my days and I wasn't even sure what day it was .
"Devin, I'm leaving for work!" Aunt Marie called from the other room.
"Okay!" I yelled back. I was expecting to hear the sound of the door close but instead I heard her footsteps come into the kitchen.
"Don't you want to leave the house for a little bit? Get some fresh air and clear your thoughts?"
"I will I guess that's a good idea."
"Well I'm going out to work, I might be back a little late today." I nodded as she walked out of the kitchen and out of the house. About a minute after she left I got up from where I was sitting and put my boots on. I looked in the mirror once at myoutfit. I thought about getting cold so I took a grey hoodie and put it on, opening the front door of the house.
I guess I really did need to get away from things already since it's been 2 days since the fight with Jared. I didn't want to see him but at the same time my heart only wanted him. It was killing me slowly on the inside. I locked the front door of the house and stuffed my hands in my jacket pocket as I walked down the street. I really didn't care about getting wet or cold at the moment.
My eyesight was still blurry as I was only focused on Jared in my mind.
Just stop thinking about him already Devin, he's gone. Done, everything is over now.
I didn't want to believe my thoughts but they were true in a way. I shook my head looking at all of the houses as I walked. There was almost no one outside but I guess I was the only on crazy enough to go walking in the rain at this hour. It was almost 10 in the morning.
I thought once and decided on walking to the mall, maybe a nice hot chocolate and muffin would help along with checking out a few stores. I walked more down the sidewalk and decided taking the shortcut through the small park along the way. It was obviously empty as the grass was wet, most of the ground had turned to mud and the play area was all wet too. I slowly walked through, not rushing for any reason. Out of no where I felt strong arms wrap behind me, one flying to my mouth with a cloth. I immediately started yelling and kicking my way out of the grasp but I noticed I was getting weak and dizzy.
"Shut up worthless fool before someone sees," was the last thing I heard before completely blacking out. The voice belonged to a female I was sure, but it was no where close to familiar. I would have been strong enough to fight back and escape but she completely shut my body off, making me weak like a little insect. I don't know what was going on, it was black everywhere.
