Devin's P.O.V
I basically barged in through the front door of the house shutting it behind me as I rushed inside.
"Devin is it you?" I heard my aunt call from the kitchen followed by her footsteps.
"Yeah it's me," I said about to make upstairs but she walked into the room, beating me to it
"Is something wrong dear? You look like you've been crying."
"Just had a fight with Kristen," I crossed my arms across my chest.
"About what?"
"Her stupid boyfriend who keeps hitting on me, sorry I need to be alone right now."
"Okay," she whispered and with that I turned around and stomped upstairs, falling on my bed. I kicked my shoes off to the corner and picked my phone up from my pocket. I groaned for a moment as I started texting.
Me:Hey, how r u?
I got a reply almost the next second.
Jared:I'm good what about you?
Me:Not the best, you busy?
Jared:What do you need?
Me:Can you come over to my house?
Jared:Is something wrong?
Me:No, I just want to be with you again.
Jared:Are you sure about that?
Me:Positive :) I added a fake smile at the end even though I didn't feel like smiling.
Jared:I'll be over in 20 minutes.
Me:I'll be waiting xoxo
I sighed and put my phone next to me on the bed. I just stared at my plain ceiling for a few minutes before getting up to change into something a little more comfortable. I changed into my grey shorts with a simple white T-shirt, leaving all of my accessories on that I had. I soon heard the doorbell ring so I walked out of my room. Just as I reached the top of staircase I saw my aunt already make way to the door.
"Hello Ms.Miller," I heard Jared's husky voice say as he walked in. I had told him all about my life this morning as he did about his so he knew that I didn't have an uncle.
"Oh hi Jared," my aunt replied.
"These are for you," he smiled and handed her a bouquet of roses. "I'd like to see Devin,"
Pshhh, and Kristen says he's not romantic.
"Oh, why thank you Jared, and Devin's in her room upstairs," she said taking the flowers in her hand and closing the door.
I saw Jared turn towards the stairs and smiled once he saw me there
"Hey," I said and tightened my arms around his waist pulling him in for a hug.
"Hello," he said chuckling as he kissed my neck once before letting go, I took his hand as we walked back into my bedroom. I sat on my bed and he sat next to me.
"So are you going to tell me what's wrong?" he asked looking deeply into my eyes. I decided it was best to just let him know.
"Kristen and I had a fight today," I said looking down.
He put his finger under my chin and lightly pushed it up. "About what?" he asked curiously.
"I don't know,"I shook my head. "I just told her that Lucas was constantly flirting with me and she didn't believe me. I told her that he was just going to hurt her and that's when we broke out talking shit to each other."
"It's alright, I'm sure she'll soon realize he's not good for her and apologize."
"I hope," I said and went closer to his side.
"Then I brought these for the right occasion to cheer you up," he grinned and put his hand inside his coat pocket. I looked at him curiously as he pulled out a box and opened it revealing chocolate chip cookies. The warm smell hit me at once it's as if they just came out of the oven.
"How did you know these are my weakness?!" I practically screamed and then laughed taking the box.
"Oh I took a wild guess," he smiled and I handed him a cookie before taking another and biting into it.
"No thanks, I don't really like sweets." He put it back in the box. "More for you," he said with a smile.
"Oh come on, how can you not like these?" I said picking up the cookie he had just put back and moved it a bit closer to his mouth. "Eat it, I dare you." He just shook his head. "Please, for me?" I pouted and started batting my eyelashes.
He burst out laughing. "Fine, only for you," he said and I shoved the cookie in his mouth. I watched as he chewed it with disgust and swallowed it. It only made me to start laughing as I took another cookie. "Mmm,,, it's so good." I said practically moaning and he chuckled.
There we sat, acting and laughing like idiots for another 10 minutes until I finished the whole box then threw it aside. I sat on his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"What can we do today? I want to get my mind off Kristen,"
"What do you want to do, it's almost 5pm" he said putting his forehead against mine.
"I want to spend the rest of the day with you." I poked his chest. "Scratch that I already know what I want," I smirked and looked at him.
"And what is it that you have on mind?" he asked raising an eyebrow. I just shook my head and leaned in closer kissing him. He kissed back and wrapped both arms around my waist. I soon ran my fingers through his soft hair, messing it up. We continued in that position for another hour or two but who was counting? It was until my aunt came up to call us down for dinner but Jared had something to do today with his 'siblings' but he agreed to come another time. I also agreed to come to his house tomorrow and meet his close friends.
Since he didn't have any blood related siblings he made really good friends with a few people who he liked to state as his siblings. I was still very eager to meet them tomorrow.
