Devin's P.O.V
My head was pounding as if a thousand drums were playing all at once. I slowly felt my eyes open as I came back to consciousness. I blinked a few times before my eyesight adjusted to the almost dark room. There was only a single light hanging from the ceiling above. I looked around and all I saw was a desk and chair across the room. I searched looking for any sight of humans but failed. Just then I looked down and found myself tied to a chair; well I guess only my feet were tied to the chair legs and my hands were both handcuffed behind my back.
"Oh great, this was the last thing I needed in my life," I mumbled, gritting my teeth together. I can't believe someone was able to kidnap me for whatever reason. I did need to get away from things but I didn't mean like this. I started kicking my legs and pulling my arms but they were tied firmly. I blew my hair that was falling in front of my eyes. How much longer was I going to wait until I found out what was going on here?
Were these people complete strangers or did I really have a secret person that hated me terribly?
"Come on! What you people want from me?!" I yelled and kept on shaking the chair. I felt like I might eventually break it if I stayed in this position any longer.
Just if on cue, a few seconds later two figures walked inside the room, girls to be exact. I noticed one right away; it was Kat but the other was a complete stranger to me. Kat had her haired tied back into a ponytail and was wearing leopard print pants with a white T-shirt, her face didn't even have a streak of shame for bringing me here. On the other hand, the other girl was her same height, with pale skin and silky black hair that was straightened. She was wearing a black strapless dress with a simple pair of high heels. Her face seemed to be caked with eyeliner and red lipstick.
Well this was great; I was kidnapped by Kat who was a Masquerade member most likely along with that other freak. I was kidnapped by my ex-boyfriend's gang mates: That'll surely make a great story to tell later on.
"Nice to see you face to face Devin Miller," the black haired girl said.
"What do you want from me?" I said emotionless.
"I thought we'd simply take care of you and the problems you've caused for us."
I turned to face Kat.
"I can't believe you'd actually stand there and accept all of this; am I never again making new friends."
"Oh dear you won't have that much time to make new friends either way," the other girl said fake laughing.
"Lexi, this is a waste of time. You know Jared's going to find out sooner or later."
"So you're the Lexi that I've heard about; the supposed leader of the group?"
"You've heard correct." She took a few steps closer to me.
"We don't need you around here any longer. Jared told you the secret, expecting that you'd understand but you didn't. We gave you your chance to live and now I have to finish what I started and should have done years ago." She pulled my chin up and stared me dead in the eye as we exchanged glares for a few seconds before pulling away. She went over to the desk and pulled out a gun, returning to stand next to Kat; who simply remained silent, not making eye contact with me.
"I know that you're only going to let our secret out if you haven't done so already," she gritted her teeth and pointed the gun right in my direction.
"You can do whatever you want, just know that you are very terrible people! I hope you all get caught and go to jail for life!" I yelled at the top of my lungs but I doubted anyone heard me.
"It's interesting how you aren't even trying to argue back." She smirked.
"I don't care anymore." I really didn't, all I wanted now was to go and be with my mother forever
"Don't worry, this won't hurt much." She grinned.
The thought came back to me and there was one question I needed the answer to."Do anything you want with me but tell me, w-who killed my mother?!" I demanded, feeling the tears well up in my eyes but I pulled them back. I didn't need to show my weakness to them.
"Alright, I'll grant your final wish." She paused before speaking again. "I'm actually surprised how you think Jared killed your mom, he may be apart of us but he's not evil. Someone else handled that situation and once your out of the picture I'll have Jared all to myself again."
"Just. Answer.My.Question," I demanded trying to keep calm. I was going to suffocate that person with my bare hands.
"Fine, I'll tell you," she paused again. "The one to kill your mother on that terrible day for you was..."
A/N: BOOM I know you hate cliffhangers but they add the whole suspense to the story :D
I wanna hear your opinion in the comments! Who do you think did it?
