Jared's P.O.V

"Look Lexi I don't have time to stay with you here forever. You stay away from me and Devin," I say trying to keep calm.

"That's not fair, why does she get to keep you in the end?" she asked in a fake sad tone.

I nearly growled, "Because she is mine and only mine. Aren't I being clear enough?" I asked and just then I noticed Lexi looking in a completely different direction. I followed her gaze and saw Devin and Kristen walking up to us.

I watched as Lexi smirked, thinking that she was going to turn the tables again.

"Jared what are you doing with her here?" Devin asked with a confused look on her face. I kept calm because I wasn't here with Lexi on a date or anything.

"I just had to talk with Lexi about the other day," I said being careful not to accidentally say anything that might give Kristen hints about our secret.

"Is that what you meant by having 'stuff' to do? I wonder why you are even wasting time with this slut anyways."

"I'd appreciate it if we don't lie in the form  of who the actual slut is here. I've dated 2 guys my entire life when I'm pretty sure you've slept with hmm, let me see over 50?" she asked and once Lexi was in the conversation this wasn't going to end well.

Devin made an attempt to come forward but luckily Kristen pulled her back. She was just looking between Devin, Lexi and I; completely unaware of half the things we were talking about.

"Why don't you and Kristen just go back home, nothing's going on here and I was about to go too. Everything is already decided," I said looking at Devin before turning to Lexi and sending her a warning glare.

She started laughing hysterically. "Fine she can go, I don't give two shits about her but Devin dear, wouldn't like to know where your lovely bf was about a week ago?"

I grabbed Lexi by the wrist and squeezed it tight but she just started laughing again. "Do you think I'm a fool Jared? Do you not remember that I went to Karate for half of my childhood, that little pinch of yours doesn't hurt one bit."

"What were you going to say Lexi?" Devin asked her eyes were screaming with anger.

"Nothing," I shook my head. "Just go home it's probably some nonsense."

Lexi pulled away from my grip and took a few steps closer to Devin. "Oh, I thought Jared would have told you that he slept with me the other night," she said proudly and smirked again.

My mind was screaming with thoughts, this surely was the end. She didn't just say that, did she?

I watched as Devin's expression dropped a bit and then turned back to anger. "What?"

"Exactly what you heard."

"I think we should get going Dev," Kristen whispered but she just shook her head.

"No, I can't believe you Jared. Tell me that she's lying!"

"She is," I said but now I was the one telling a lie.

"No matter what we went through, I wouldn't lie in a case like this," Lexi spoke up grinning like an idiot.

"Is she telling the freakin truth Jared?!" Devin started yelling, almost getting in my face.

I didn't know what to do. I was confused. Should I lie to her for the sake of Lexi not winning this round of her sick game or tell her the truth so it doesn't turn out that I was lying to her.

"Yes, but it was a mistake I didn't know what I was do-"

She cut me off, "Save it Jared, I never want to see you again!" it all came too fast as she punched me once in the face before running off. Within seconds she was almost halfway to the car.

"Devin!" Kristen yelled and gave both of us a wild glare before running after her.

I look at Lexi, finding her still grinning with both of her hands across her chest.

"Did you get what you wanted?!"

"Yep." She nodded and was calm, as if nothing even happened.

"I'm going to get you, you are not going to get away with this!" I yelled in her face and started running through the park as well. I saw Devin's black car drive off down the road before I even reached mine. I angrily opened my car door and threw my self inside as I shut it again and started the car. I started to drive down the road so Lexi wouldn't follow but it was too late for Devin, they'd already disappeared down the street. I pulled out my phone and pressed Daylin's number.

She answered on the second ring.

"Hello?" she asked through the phone.

"Hey Day, it's Jared. Look we have to talk and have a few plans to make can you and Mike meet me at Starbucks in 20 minutes?"

"Yeah sure Jared, is something wrong?"

"I'll tell you all about it when you come."

"Okay, see ya then," she said and hung up. I threw my phone on the empty passenger seat with force as I drove through the streets.
