"Hey baby, so you know that girl I was telling you about? Well I finally kissed her! .....today. I feel so bad about it, I'm so sorry Gerard. I know you'll understand though."
Frank smiled to himself as he sat alone in the long summer grass. He thought of what he'd done with Jamia and he truly felt horrible. He also felt happy, for the first time in years, he felt happy.
"I know I shouldn't have, any other day it would have been fine but, she makes me happy. Just like you Gee." A tear swelled in his eye as he thought back to a time when his late husband still lived.
Frank missed Gerard, he missed holding his hand and kissing him goodnight. He missed having someone to care for. Jamia could be the next one to care for, she could be the one.
He had to make sure with Gerard first though. "So Whatcha think of her? Is she a keeper?" Staring at the clouds over head he started to make shapes out of them like he and Gee had done so many times before.
"Yeah, I think so too." He smiled before turning to look at the time on his watch. "Fuck, I got to go. I have to meet with Mikey, he was saying something about finding some unicorn horn and he needed someone to verify it was real."
Placing a rose beside his gravestone, Frank walked away towards his car.
"Yeah I know, I know, he's just a kid. Happy Anniversary Gee, I love you."
