"Alright," Javier says, patting Liam's shoulder. "Let's see who we can find for you," he smirks. Javier, his girlfriend and Liam all out at the bar. Javier's plan which is to find Liam a rebound girl.
"Dude I'm good," Liam smiles, taking a sip of his beer.
"Nah," Javier smirks, using his beer to point out a blonde in the corner, her eyes on Liam.
"I'm serious dude."
"Come on. Get out there again."
"I hate you," Liam laughs as the girl walks over. Javier stepping away.
"Hi," she greets.
"How are you?" he asks.
"I'm good."
"I'm Liam," he smiles, holding out his hand to her.
"I'm Sloan," she smiles back, sliding her hand in his.
"Can you excuse me for just a second?" Liam asks, pulling his hand away.
"Mhm sure," she nods, sitting down on the couch nearby.
"No way in hell bro," Liam laughs, walking next to Javier. "Guess what her name is?"
He shrugs.
"Sloan," giving Javier a look.
"So you can yell the same name when you guys hook up," he grins.
Liam rolls his eyes as Javier walks away, but his girlfriend stays back.
"I'm sorry," she apologizes, Liam's phone going off.
"Sorry about what?"
"About Sloane and her engagement. It was all over the papers. I was reading it at work today."
"It's alright. Sloane got what she wanted. She never wanted anything serious from me, just the physical part. Evidently, Eric isn't good in the sack," he shrugs.
"Most guys aren't," she grins.
"It's okay, I'll be fine," he laughs looking down at his phone. "Shit."
"What is it?"
"I gotta go, psycho is in labor."
"Good luck," she smiles.
Liam pulls into the parking lot ten minutes later and makes his way to the right floor. Once the elevator doors open, he jogs to the nurse's station.
"Can I help you?" a nurse, asks smiling.
"Yeah, I'm looking for Natasha McMillian?
The nurse goes through some paperwork. "She requested no one in the room."
"I'm the baby's dad. You're kidding me, right?" he smiles in disbelief.
"I'm sorry. Miss. McMillian said everyone was there and no one else was to come in."
"Can I at least know what room she's in?"
"I'm sorry you can't," she sighs.
"Sir, what's the matter here?" a dark-haired nurse walks up.
"The woman that is having my baby is in labor right now, and no one is allowed in the room anymore. I just wanted to know the room number."
"Sorry, sir we can't give out information like that. I could take your name and tell her you're here."
"It's Liam Pearson," he sighs as she writes the name down. "I guess I'll just sit in the damn waiting room."
"Sorry," the dark-haired nurse walks away.
Close to ten minutes pass, Liam looking up every so often from his phone. He then sees the most helpful nurse walk back over.
"I'm sorry, she doesn't want anyone else in there. Is there anyone you could call?"
"I guess I don't know what you mean by that?" Liam says rudely.
"A friend? Family? Anyone that can be there for you? It's not always about the mothers."
"I'm fine. Who I want to call is probably with her fiancé."
"Oh," she smiles. "Love crosses great boundaries."
"Can you keep me updated?"
"Of course."
