"Gajeel, whadda ya say we go somewhere that actually HAS money?" He asked. "Like...?" I asked. "Thorta." He said. I laughed. "The King and Queen live there!!! You gotta be kidding me!!!" I said.
"No, sir. We could invade the castle." He said. "That's a stupid idea." I said. "Come on, it's not that bad." He said. "Yeah, it is. Invade a HEAVILY GUARDED castle?!!! You're CRAZY!" I said.
"Crazy is good. So, let's pack up, leave tomorrow." He said. "You're serious about this?!" I asked. "Yeah. Now come on, let's pack our stuff up." He said.
My tone became a little more serious. "Dude, you're gonna get yourself killed." I said. "No, YOU are, because you'll be doing all the work." He said.
I clenched my fists at that. "Don't worry, I'll drive ya away. If you'll give me every last dime that you get out of there." He said. "What if I don't come?" I asked.
"You need me, and you know it." He said. "That's not exactly true." I said. He raised his eyebrows. "I don't NEED you. You just happen to have food and money. I could leave this place and find a way to live on my own." I said.
"You'd still be a dirty thief. Accept this time, a hobo thief." He said. "It's better than being here!!!" I yelled. "It's better than bein' used by you!!" I yelled. And I meant it.
He laughed. "Fine. Get your stuff. I'll give ya ten bucks to go on. But when you come crawling to Thorta, begging for Mercy, don't expect to get any." He said. "That won't be an issue. Cause I'm not planning on speaking to you again!" I said, grabbing up the few clothes I had, the ten dollars, and shoving it all into a bag.
Then, I stormed out the door, not taking a second glance back at that filthy place I used to call home.
