Chapter 5 | The Crossing

Gajeel

I walked down the street, wondering where to go, honestly raging.

Suddenly, I saw a cat stuck in a tree. "Really?! How cliché is that?" I asked, walking over to the cat. Eventually, I got it down.

I turned around, looking for the owner, and I found her. "T-thanks...?" She asked. It was the girl. My eyes widened. I handed her the cat.

I honestly didn't know what to do. I was stuck. "Why aren't you running?!" I asked. "I dunno, maybe I'm confused that you're a murderer yet you just helped my CAT?" She asked.

"Think whatever you want of me. Now let's never meet again." I said, turning around, walking away.

I found a place in the woods and set up "camp". I was honestly thankful to be away from that jerk, Poison. He and that girl are the only ones who have seen my face.

So I could start a life. The public doesn't know that I'm me. I've never gotten arrested, so I don't have a criminal record.

I walked around town, trying to see if anybody was hiring.

Levy

I stood, confused, as I pet my cat, Lily, watching the mass murderer disappear. "He's full of mysteries..." I mumbled, scared.

I then went back to my house and sat down, petting Lily, trying to calm my nerves. The guy seemed different. He seemed nice. Er, nicer...

There was something in his eyes that looked different. When he'd kidnapped me, his red eyes looks so murderous, but now they looked different. I can't really describe it. Huh.

Gajeel

I couldn't find any jobs, so I headed back to my camp in the woods. I hoped some job slot would open up. I needed money. Ten dollars wouldn't go far.

Levy

So, I went to work at the bookstore, very nervous after the incident that happened. My boss knew nothing about it because, well, the money was returned, so nothing to be worried about. I got in trouble for "Leaving my post" (getting kidnapped) and just accepted the punishment.

But, nothing really happened. I just did my job until my shift was over at midnight, then walked home, pet Lily, and got in bed.

I know, they're short! But just wait, I'm sure they'll get longer as you get further! I hope you enjoyed that, anyway, no matter how short it may be.
