Chapter 27 | The Epilogue

"How did you guys meet each other, anyway?" Grace asked. I glanced to Gajeel. "At a bookstore." I answered carefully.

"Of course you met at a bookstore. Lame. And was dad SERIOUSLY one to read books?" Lucas asked. "I was just droppin' by, trying to get a job." Gajeel answered. Yep, we had kids. A daughter we named Grace, and a son we named Lucas. Grace had long, black hair while Lucas had inherited my blue hair, accept darker. I was currently pregnant with another child, but we don't know the gender yet so we haven't named it, though I have a few names in mind..

"You can tell us the truth!" Lucas said. He was 14, and Grace was 12. I glanced at Gajeel with a "should we" look. He shrugged and rolled his eyes.

"Kids, don't follow my example, and I'll tell you the story." He said. "Okay, deal." Grace said. "Promise?" He asked. "Okay, okay, yeah, just get on with it!" Lucas said.

"Okay, well, I had this buddy named Poison..." He began telling the story. He was actually a good story teller, making jokes but keeping it pretty accurate.

"Whoa. You guys were actually TEENAGERS once? Like-normal human beings?!" Grace asked. "You've gone too far, child." I joked. "I'm sorry." She said.

We laughed. "Yeah, we used to be one heck of a bunch." Gajeel said. Good job not using profanity I thought.

"You guys were, like, heroes!" Lucas said. "Yep. Pretty crazy, right?" I asked. "Yeah!!!" Grace said. "You'll get your chance to be heroes, too, just be patient!" I said.

"Don't encourage 'em!" Gajeel said. I laughed. Things calmed down. "Well, I'm gonna go lay down. The human being inside of my body is sucking my energy. Gajeel-you mind chillin' with the kids?" I asked.

"Not at all! How about we get outside and do some ACTIVE, FUN stuff?!" Gajeel asked. I laughed. He was a great father. I knew he'd be there for them, and I knew he'd be there for ME.

I laid down and just thought.

When there was no one else, he was always there. He always cared for me, even when we first met. He could've killed me, but he decided against it.

Who knew that just a few years later, we'd get pregnant and have two, wonderful kids, with a third one coming? That's INSANE!!!

Also, Natsu and Lucy do have a kid about 16. Gray and Juvia had one who is about 17 now. Nalu's son, Nate, inherited Lucy's blonde hair, but Natsu's stoutness. Gruvia's daughter, Adeline, on the other hand, inherited Grays black hair, accept it was long and curled like Juvia's. She inherited Juvia's eyes and acted and hung around her mother more than father. Understandable, because Natsu and Gray STILL fight.

All of our kids were friends as well. Lucas hung around Mira and Laxus' girl, Ember a lot, while Grace was best friends with Adeline, who was VERY found of Nate. I just realized their ship name would be Nateline lol.

Life was great, though. We had children who now had their own lives, it was amazing! Evergreen and Elfman's kids are pretty small. One is a toddler, one is practically a newborn, and the other is about 6. They are all SO adorable!

But anyway, that's how life has been going for us! And I wouldn't have it any other way.
