Chapter 17 | Erza!!!

Levy

So, later that night, I heard something. I heard heavy breathing outside, though it sounded human. And footsteps, fast footsteps, like running.

I wondered if it was Natsu, so I went into the living room to check. As soon as I left the guest room my ears were blown off.

Dang, Gajeel, glad there's no enemies around or else we'd be OBVIOUS.

He snored THAT LOUD. I don't know how Lily could stand it. I tiptoed to the door and opened it slowly, stepping outside.

I saw Natsu coming, along with a girl he was having to help walk. She had scarlet red hair, and was wearing a chestplate of armor along with her skirt.

"Um... Hi?" I asked. "You guys are still up?!" Natsu asked. "Just me. I could hear you guys from inside. What's going on?" I asked.

"I guess I should introduce. Levy-Erza. Erza-Levy." Natsu said. "It's very nice to meet you. Too bad it was under these circumstances." Erza said. "Yeah, it kinda sucks. But what happened?" I asked.

"I went to investigate the explosion, and it turned out to be a fight." Natsu said. "Oh.. Okay.." I said. "So, have you seen the others?" Erza asked. "I've got Lucy, Wendy, and Romeo, and of course, the exceeds, along with Levy's friend, Gajeel and his exceed, but other than that, I hadn't seen anybody from Fairy Tail." Natsu said.

"Darn it. What about Jellal? Have you seen him? Or Gray and Juvia?" Erza asked desperately. I'd heard about these people through Lucy.

"No, I hadn't. If I had, I'd tried to have kept us all together." Natsu said. She sighed. "Alright. I'll have to go looking for them." She said.

"You can't walk. Get rested up first." Natsu said. "Okay, fine. I don't need to push myself alone and get stuck out there." She said. "Alright. Come on." Natsu said.

I opened the door for them and they walked in, me following and closing the door. Natsu took her to his room, and as I was walking back to my and Lucy's room, he came out. "You're not staying in your room?" I asked. He shook his head. "She needs the bed, what am I supposed to do?" He asked.

"True. You have blankets right?" I asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said, going to a pantry that had extra blankets and pillows in it. I walked back in where I laid down and went to sleep.

The next day, when I got up, Natsu and Erza were already gone. Lucy was still asleep, though. I ventured into the living room where Gajeel and Lily were indeed up.

"Hello!" I said. He huffed, which I'm assuming is a greeting. "So, what are you guys doing?" I asked. "Waiting on everybody else." Gajeel said. "Oh, sounds like fun." I said.

"Natsu left an hour ago with some chick I've never seen before." He said. "That was Erza, another ally of ours." I said. "Well, she was beat up pretty bad. I'm assuming they went to Wendy and it's been about an hour." He said.

"I hope she's okay. Lucy's told me about her, she's amazing. She's a really good fighter." I said. He huffed.

So, Erza got fixed up and came back, and we met and chatted a while, along with Lucy and Natsu. I noticed Gajeel was hanging back and tried to get to him but the group was pulling me in.

"Alright, I'm going to find Jella-er... The others." Erza said. "It's okay if you're going to look for Jellal." Lucy teased, doing a little eyebrow wiggle.

"Well, Jellal IS part of THE OTHERS, isn't he?" Erza asked. Nice save!  "Alright, I'm headed off. If I don't come back tonight, don't go looking for me. I'm sure I'll be fine." Erza said.

"Hey, Gajeel! How about we go looking for some of our other friends?!" Natsu asked. "I don't know them, and we don't have enough food or room for a bunch of people." He argued.

"We can get enough room!!! We can even move camp if we wanted!" Natsu said. "Let's not take our house for granted. We're fine here. Unless something happens, I intend to stay here. I'm sure the others are surviving just fine." Lucy said.

"I agree with Lucy." I added. Natsu pouted, being quiet.

Erza

I ran through the forest, not sure where I was going, but trying to find Jellal and hopefully Meredy as well. I just ran following my instincts.

I found a small teepee, that looked like it'd had people in it. I looked around it carefully to see if it was maybe Jellal and Meredy. Nothing could give me a clear indication.

Suddenly, I heard a voice. "Erza?" The voice asked. It was the voice that I knew far too well. The voice that helped me through life for so many years. The voice that was once evil, but one I never stopped wanting to hear.

"Jellal! Meredy! You guys are okay!" I said, whirling around. "Yeah... So are you! How did you find us?" Meredy asked. "I just.. stumbled upon it... I guess it was lucky timing..." I said, trying to hide the blush on my face.

"So, where are you staying?" He asked. "About an hour away, back there. We kinda have a camp. It's me, Lucy, Wendy, Romeo, Natsu, Lucy's online friend Levy, and her friend, Gajeel." I explained.

"Oh. It's got to be pretty crowded then." He said. "Indeed. While Romeo and Wendy have their own little place, all of us are trying to share Natsu's small house. It's not working out very well." I said.

"Well, we don't have room for you here, either." He said. "Yeah, I wasn't asking, if anything, I was offering for you guys to come." I said.

"You said it was cramped." He said. "Y-yes, it is, but it's b-better than living in a teepee." I said. "Hey, Meredy. Just stay here. Erza and I will be right back." Jellal said. "Whatever you say." She said, smirking.

He lead me into the woods a little bit, back the way I came. "I'd love to come. I just-I don't want to put Meredy in an awkward situation. I'm a father figure to her, and I'm the only one she has-so if I'm distracted with you and Natsu and whoever all you said was there-she might get depressed and left out, you know?" Jellal asked.

"Yes, I understand. She could always try to hang out with Wendy and Romeo. And she could stick by you. We'd all accept her." I said.

"Okay." He said. We started walking back. "So it's a yes?" I asked. "You'll see." He said. "Meredy!" He called. "Start packing up the stuff, we're going to a house!"

I put that Erza thing at the end because I was at a real writers' block, so I thought that'd fix it, and it did! Also, don't worry, more exciting stuff will be coming soon and there WILL be more moments with Gajeel and Levy alone!
