Miyuki
I leaned against a tree, waiting for Obito, as I threw an apple up into the air and caught it. I continued over and over again until Obito appeared ten minutes later.
"Alright Obito, let's start your training. You're going to throw a shuriken at me, specifically at this apple that's going to be on top of my head. You need to work on accuracy," I explained as his eyes widened.
"What if I miss?!" He asked me, bewildered.
"Well don't," I replied simply as he paled.
"B-But...!" He tried again.
"If you miss, you'll probably blind me or leave a scar on my face forever. Kushina and Minato will probably kill you too so don't miss," I said, cutting him off.
I couldn't help but smirk as Obito stood there, turning even more pale. I walked away from him a few steps and then turned to face him, placing the apple on my head. I saw him grab a shuriken and noticed that his hands were shaking. Just as he was about to throw it, Kakashi and Rin appeared out of nowhere.
"Hi Obito!" Rin exclaimed, scaring the boy into throwing the shuriken that was in his hand.
I saw the shuriken getting closer before I heard a crisp crunch sound. So he had hit the apple after all. Kakashi looked as though he was about to beat the life out of Obito but I decided to step in.
"Nice job Obito! See? I knew you could do it!" I told him as I ran up to pat him on the back.
He gave me a wide grin before he walked over with Rin to the pond, most likely finding fish with her, again. Kakashi and I were left alone together.
"So..." he started.
"Did you need something?" I asked him, my voice cold.
"No," he replied quickly.
"Good because I'm going home."
I left the white haired chunin standing in the middle of the field. I couldn't help but feel angry whenever I was with him. Once I had made it back home, I decided to let out a breath before going inside. Both of my parents could sense when I was in a foul mood and Kushina was the type to press for an answer. I turned the doorknob and walked inside the house. I heard mom humming softly. Since there was no conversation or any other sound, I assumed that dad was out on business somewhere. I said a quick greeting to Kushina before heading up to my room where I fell face first into my bed. Why did Kakashi and his stupid remarks bother me so much? While I was pondering the answer to the question, I drifted off to sleep.
Three Hours Later
"I don't like the idea of this mission!"
"I don't know what I can do, Kushina."
"Go talk to the Hokage! They can't send you and your team, they're still young!"
"Don't you think I know that?"
The sound of my parents arguing woke me up. I groggily sat up in my bed, trying to make out the context.
"We are not sending our daughter with you on this mission!" Kushina snapped.
"Do you think that I didn't already tell them the same thing?" Minato asked her, his voice strained. "I don't have a choice. She's being sent because of her kekkei genaki, you know that."
"Of course I know that! This was Danzo's plan all along, he just wants to use her to get rid of our enemies! That's why he decided to use her and force this kekkei genkai on her as a child!" Kushina yelled.
