Chapter 26 - Naruto's Training

I stood next to Kakashi as he explained the change in chakra form to Naruto. He had the younger boy create a Rasengan, in order to demonstrate and I watched in awe as he recreated Minato's jutsu.

"Rasengan!" Naruto yelled as he was about to slam it into the floor, only for Kakashi to stop him.

Kakashi told the boy that he had already mastered change in chakra form by demonstrating the Rasengan and Naruto yelled excitedly. I couldn't help but smirk. Did he think the next part would be easy? I listened as Kakashi explained change in chakra nature along with the basic five chakra natures or chakra properties. 

"So Sasuke has lightning and fire properties huh," Naruto said, his eyes narrowing.

"And you currently don't have any. We don't even know what type of chakra property you're good at," Kakashi told the boy as he reached into his back pouch and pulled out a few sheets of litmus paper. Kakashi held up a sheet between his fingers and a few seconds later, it wrinkled. Naruto was stunned. The jonin began to explain how the paper would react depending on the chakra property one had. Of course if there were multiple properties, the paper would try to react to all of them. Kakashi didn't even bother to hand me one, knowing that the resulting paper could confuse Naruto and handed the boy one instead.

"Flow your chakra into the paper to find what property you have," Kakashi told him as Naruto stepped forward and grabbed a piece.

I was curious as what Naruto's could be, not having the slightest clue. I watched as he closed his eyes, focusing. A short while later, I heard a ripping sound clearly coming from the paper. So his chakra property was wind. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in surprise. His chakra nature was similar to mine when I was a genin.

"Your chakra property is wind. It cuts through all sorts of things, it's a chakra with outstanding battle strength," Kakashi explained.

Naruto grew excited. "I'm awesome!"

I smiled. He really was a little kid, getting excited about everything. Kakashi quickly burst his bubble about only learning one nature. He also explained at how learning the change in chakra nature would take longer, much longer, so he had an idea on how to help.

"An idea?" Naruto asked.

Just then, a figure jumped up behind me and Kakashi and we both turned, seeing Yamato there.

"Captain Yamato! Why are you here?"

"Kakashi asked me to help out with this training," Yamato told him before turning to Kakashi. "I'm sorry for interrupting you, Kakashi senpai." 

I smacked Yamato's arm gently and he turned his attention on me.

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" I asked him as he laughed. 

"Sorry, Miyuki," He replied, rubbing the arm I had hit him.

"So with this..." Kakashi was saying until Naruto cut him off.

"I just realized, what type of change in chakra nature is your wood style, Captain Yamato? How about you, Miyuki sensei? I think you have crystal style, what kind of change in chakra nature is that?" Naruto asked, clearly not listening to Kakashi.

"Huh?" Yamato asked.

"Well..." I started.

Kakashi walked over to us both and whispered to us, loud enough so we could hear but not loud enough for Naruto. "Well, his interest has shifted that way so just go ahead and tell him."

Yamato and I both flashed each other a look before I signaled for him to go first. All of a sudden, Yamato jumped back and formed hand signs.

"Doton, Doryu Joheki."
