"Your mission is to destroy the Kannabi bridge that is in Kusagakure. That way, Iwagakure can't receive reinforcements or supplies anymore," Minato told us.

All of us nodded as Kakashi put away the gifts he received for being promoted to jonin. I glanced over at Obito and Kakashi. The tension between the two had gotten worse, ever since Obito found out Kakashi and I had spent the day together. Obito tried to convince me that Kakashi was a jerk that wasn't worth my time while Kakashi belittled the Uchiha at every opportunity. We silently ran through the forest, scanning for enemies. Obito continued to glare daggers into Kakashi's back. My focus was taken away from the two boys though, when I sensed an unfamiliar presence near us.

"Dad," I started, but he knew instantly.

"Someone's watching us."

I scanned the area, wondering where the enemy could be. My gaze stopped behind a tree branch, where I could see a little piece of clothing from behind.

"There," I said, pointing at the location.

"I'll handle this," Minato started until Kakashi cut him off.

"Sensei, today I'm the captain and the rules state that the team will follow the captain's orders." Kakashi told him. "I'll handle this, with the new jutsu I've been working on. Chidori!"

Suddenly, the sharp sound of a thousand birds chirping filled the air as Kakashi's hand became engulfed with blue lightning. Before anyone could speak, Kakashi charged ahead, breaking through the large log we had been hiding behind. As he charged forward, the Iwagakure nin threw multiple kunai and shuriken at him, all of them being blocked thanks to Minato. The three of us remained behind the log, however, we were quickly reminded that we were in enemy territory when an enemy's shadow close appeared behind Obito. Minato was quick to react and stabbed the shadow clone, causing it to disappear. Another appeared behind Rin but I quickly grabbed and threw a shuriken at it, also making it disappear. Minato went back to Kakashi, knowing that we would be able to handle the situation on our own. I grabbed my teammates and dragged them with me. We couldn't stay in the same spot and risk getting picked off.

"Kakashi!" Rin yelled suddenly.

I turned to his direction and saw Kakashi with the real Iwagakure shinobi's katana buried in his right shoulder. His other hand came out with a blade and was just about to stab Kakashi right as Minato teleported to him, grabbing the white haired jonin and saving him in the process. I saw the seal that Minato managed to place on the Iwa nin's foot.

"Miyuki please hold him off for thirty seconds. Obito, Rin follow me." Minato ordered me before he teleported with Kakashi using his kunai.

I looked at the enemy in front of me, glaring at him.

"He thinks keeping a little girl here will stop me? Pathetic," the Iwa ninja said with a scoff.

"What's your name?" I asked him coldly.

The enemy laughed. "We're in the middle of battle but you want to know my name? I guess since you'll die soon, I can at least give you that as a gift. My name's Mahiro."

I didn't respond, just continued to look at him with my eyes narrow. I couldn't help but think of Kakashi. Was he ok? Was his injury serious? My eyes unintentionally looked down at the seal on Mahiro's foot. When I noticed that he was about to look down as well, I lunged at him.

"What the...?! Stupid girl, get off of me!" He yelled.

I grabbed onto him, forcing him down onto the ground. As his back made contact with the floor, I heard him gasp and I quickly jumped back. He got up, coughing and with murder on his eyes. He reached for his sword but before he could pull it out, Minato appeared behind him, pressing a kunai to Mahiro's neck.
