Nova's pov-

my eyes opened slowly a blanket draped over my shoulders and my head resting on a pillow i was sleeping on the couch how did i get here i pushed the blanket off of myself as snippets came back

Daniel

his father

their fight

i felt a pang of sadness in my heart as i looked around it was dark and cold i shivered i was waiting for Daniel that's why i was on the couch i must have dozed off after my little chat with Daniel's mom, Tasha, well actually more like slept

i sighed he wasn't even back yet i felt tears come to my eyes and my heart clenched i was never away from him for this long i heard the pack house doors swing open smacking hard against the wall i turned around hoping it was Daniel disappointed when it was only his Beta um Kyle i think

"Luna" he panted out as i was about to turn around and take my sad little self up stairs

i looked to him tilting my head he was a little dirty mud splattered all other his clothes and his hair looked disheveled i nodded for him to continue

"it's the Alpha" he said

i expected him to take me to the infirmary because i assumed Daniel was hurt but then he was an Alpha so instead of leading me to the infirmary he led me to the forest where roars and howls of anger and sadness resonated strongly through the trees

a shiver slivered up my spine but i wasn't as scared as i should be as we progressed through a well warn path no words were spoken between us as we moved the only sound was the crunching of decade old leaves and the whistling of winds though the branched which carried the howls and roars the noises getting louder until we came to a clearing

a black wolf stood in the center his back turned growling at nothing then without the Beta i walked forwards he didn't argue i walked carefully up to him until i came to his back right side but he didn't seem to see me or  smell me until i called out his name

"Daniel?" i said quietly but it was loud in the almost completely quietened forest

he leapt into the air snarling he whipped around towards me paws flying claws extended i jumped back his claws skimmed my stomach and i cried out as he left a thin but deep cut on my skin

i landed awkwardly on the uneven ground he jumped back ears down tail between his legs a soft whimper left his throat as he came towards me

frightened and scared i shifted back shaking my head he froze hurt flashing through his eyes but he didn't move away his eyes watching the blood patch that gathered there

i quivered and he whined whimpering his eyes shifting from black to brown and back again as he fought over control with his wolf until his wolf won and advanced closer i shook more shaking my head and crying

"please no" i whimpered i knew i shouldn't have been scared but i was

a large red colored wolf the was slightly smaller then Daniel stepped between us Daniel's eyes clouded over and it was a few minutes before he turned on his heels and bounded away my heart constricted as he released a pain filled howl
