chapter 25

nova's pov-

i was floating in an ocean of oblivion my body numb levitating through a dark dreamless dream that i knew i would soon wake up from and on cue my eyes slowly drift open my heavy from fatigue and hunger and just like every other morning woke up to another sick feeling in my stomach. I tossed around onour bed today counts two years since he left I sighed curling up inthe bed only wanting to go back to sleep my mind convinced that i haven't quite got enough yet even though i had slept about eight to ten hours

"you have to get up" mumbled my wolf Kieara I sighed

"I'm so tired Kieara" I whispered into thepillow

"I know" she told me "I am too but the pack needs to stay strongthey need their Luna"

"but I can't shift they don't need me straightaway?" Kieara growled

"don't say that as Luna you are second in commandand are alpha female of the pack"

i sighed she had said this to me for the last thirteen months that was the first time i felt a massive pain in my side going from my hip to my neck i doubled over in pain in front of the entire pack while giving one of my weekly pep talks the action sent them into a frenzy of worry

"mate hurt!" Kieara howled in my head on that day

but after a few seconds the pain slowly died away thanks to Daniel's fast healing ability but the pain came more frequently as he was attacked and i only hoped that he was okay. i pushed myself to sit up and slid out of bed my stomach growled even though i felt i wasn't hungry Amy wold force feed me if i didn't eat i walked into the comment bathroom which brought back found memories of how we all met i looked to the mirror wincing at the sight i saw. black bags laid under my eyes and my skin a sickly pale color and my once bright blue eyes looked bull and frightened which i could relate to. many she wolves looked like this and a very small few have died because of the death of their mates that reason also made me cry in pain as well, but i looked a whole heap worse i practically looked on deaths door and if i looked like this i would hate to see what Daniel looked like i knock sounded on the bedroom door and i frowned Amy wouldn't be knocking this early it's only eight in the mo--- another round of knocking louder and more urgent i huffed a shower will have to wait i moved into the room just as the bedroom door opened and Amy rushed in looked around then moved to me she grabbed my hand tugging me out of the room to slow to react and to weak to stop her as she pulled me outside i shivered as the cold air touched my skin traveling up my bare feet and chilling me to the core. A crowd had formed on the lawn outside and i frowned looking to Amy who looked down at me a said two words that had me joining the crowd their back istood with the group trying to look over them but though there wasn'tmuch height difference I couldn't see over the as they were allbustling to find their mates

"relax I heard" Kieara smooth voice whisperin my head sounding stronger at the thought of her mate coming home "he's there just look, just smell and if you can't find himhe'll find you"
