Nova's pov-

my eyes cracked open slowly and i stared at the wall a steady thump against my ear and harshly warm skin against my own i blushed remembering last night as i became aware about his arm around my waist tracing circles on my hip i shifted my legs the soreness shocking me for a moment before i looked up to find him wide awake he smiled lazily down at me his other hand coming up to brush some hair from my face

"sore?" he asked

i nodded and smiled but it quickly dropped he frowned also

"what?" he asked now caressing my waist

"we just had... um had...ahhh"

"sex" he finished for me he had been doing that a lot lately i blushed looking away nodding

"it just doesn't feel right"

i mumbled tracing circles on his chest around his pecks feeling him shiver under the slow movements of my hands

"what do you mean?" he questioned his fingers stopping there motion his grip tighter slightly

"it just... just f-feels a little like incest" i stated looking up at him "it feels wrong i've known you ever since i was five"

he was quiet for a long stretch of time i tried to read him feel what he was feeling but there was nothing

then he spoke

"are you regretting asking me?" he whispered "are you regretting me?"

my eyes widened as i realized what he thought i meant i sat up shifting so i was leaning over him i shook my head pressing my lips to his gently he smiled against my lips

"why would i ever regret something i did with you, i love you too much for that"

his smile widened and he pulled me closer squishing me against his chest and i giggled but our moment was ruined as his alarm clock went of scaring me half to death he sighed angrily

"when did you ever have an alarm clock" i grumbled and he growled

"Amy" he said in a deathly tone he looked ready to kill something ... or someone

"calm down" i told him

reaching over to turn it off then i was back to him kissing him gently as he pulled the covers over us

4 months later

Daniel's pov-

"yeah next week sounds perfect" i said though the phone as my mate came into the room without knock as always i smiled and wave to her she smiled back

her scent filled the room at least i thought it was her scent i breathed it in cinimmon and vanilla i frowned a little saying a quick good bye to Alpha Derek i placed the phone down

"a bad conversation?" she asked tilting her head to the side

i shook my head as silence flowed between us and she took this time to walk towards me

then i heard it

i stood up and she stopped i heard it again and moved towards her falling to my knees in front of her she frowned

"Daniel what are y---?"

"shhh" i shushed her, her talking made it harder to hear

i heard it again and pressed my ear to her stomach where i heard it clearly

strong heart beats thumped against my ear as i listened closely i don't know how long i was like that kneeled in front of my mate listening to a noise i wondered was real but it filled me with pride none the less

did she know?

"Daniel there's something i need to tell you" she said quietly too quietly for my bubbly Nova i looked up at her expectantly but she didn't continue

"what is it little one?" i asked climbing to my feet i lifted her up carrying her to my desk taking her around it i sat her on it rolling forwards on my chair i sat in front of her

"well...." she started but didn't continue

worry laced my heart as it began to beat faster

"what happened?" i asked kissing kissing her pulling her into my lap i kissed her forehead
the words that left her lips next made tears fall down my face

"Daniel, you're going to be a father"
