Daniel's pov- (yay another Daniel pov)

fear

sadness

anger

longing

hurt

these were all the emotions flowing through my head as i left my little mate sleeping in our the image of her curled up against the pillows comforter around her waist would forever be the one of the last images i will see of her for a while i winced my heart aching more in my chest as i walked out across the lawn my hands clenched tightly by my sides it was time that we went now to face off the man who threatened to take my little one away from me. would she be angry at me when i came back? angery that she didn't get to say good bye and that i will be gone for hevens knows how long

'she will be okay' i told myself' Amy was staying back to help her take care of the pack as Luna that's her job the job that she wanted to take over'

i left a note on the bedside table i don't know if she would see it ... how could she not i placed a flower in a face next to it, i told i was sorry for leaving but i told her it was better this way i said that i would be back before she knew it i began walking faster until her soft voice called out

"Daniel" she yelled out to me her voice was heavey with sleep

i flicked around catching sight of my small mate who ran towards me stopping a few feet away my wolf cried

'to go to her a sad mate was better then an angery one' he told me

but i couldn't move it would make saying goodbye even harder when i touched her skin

"you were going to just leave like that?" she whispered i hesitantly nodded "without a proper goodbye?" i looked to the ground

"it would be easier for the both of us sweet heart" i whispered out "i'll probably be gone for a long time and i wanted my last memory of you to be sleeping peacefully"

"please don't go" she begged her voice closer now

i looked at her she had tears bubbling down her cheeks as she grabbed hold of me I felt my heart contract as I looked at her I hugged her as she sobbed into my stomach i picked her up her face in my neck

"hush baby it's okay i'll come back don't you worry" she curled up against me whimpering "let me go now my little one"

she whimpered again and shook her head holding me tightly

"Nova" i stated firmly

"please?" she tried one more time I sighed

"no baby" her body slumped against mine with a pained whimper

"I love you" she whispered kissing my cheek

I blinked a few times fighting back tears I heard howls as I looked back to my warriors then back to my mate, Nova, and what I said next came from the heart

"I love you so so much" I whispered kissing her forehead and nose before I placed her down

pulling away i took the 15 seconds to properly shift and with one look back I took in what she looked like like it was the last time I would ever see her then I ran to join my warriors who stood impatiently by the border
