Daniel's pov-

we agreed on a compromise

she would stay at the pack house

in m--- our room

and sleep on m-- our bed

in my shirt

i stayed on my side of the room

which consisted pretty much of my lonesome couch and my draw set which contained all my clothes i had a coffee table in front of me my laptop laid there, closed, i only wanted to sleep at this moment pack work could wait

while she slept on the bed that was pushed across the,

tape line that with help from Kyle she laid across the floor leaving me to curl up on the couch but either way i was happy to know she was safe and my wolf was happy to know that our mate was in our bed in our room and that he got to watch her sleep and hear her little heart beat

the soft and calming noise alone was enough to lull me to sleep and i only hoped that my presence was doing that for her too.

i woke to the TV down stairs it had been a while since it was on i'm surprised it still works i turned my head wincing at the kink there the bed was empty i frowned sitting up slowly allowing the blanket, that i don't remember having though it smelt faintly of Nova, fall down my body i smiled standing up not bothering to find a shirt as i moved out of my room down stairs following the noise until i found the lounge room the large 53" TV was blaring a cartoon that i was familiar with

i thought she grew out of that i walked into the room only to find my little mate sleeping on the floor how long was she there for? i sighed looking at the clock at the opposite side of the room it was two o'clock in the morning i chuckled quietly

"as punctual as always" i muttered remembering how she use to speed down stairs every morning to watch the power puff marathon mind you she was about six or seven when she last did that

i stood beside her kneeling down i pulled her into my arms without a moments hesitation her head tucked into the crook of my neck sparks erupted were our skin made contact she stirred with a little growl a noise i never knew she could make her arms wrapped around my neck gently causing violent sparks that made me shudder and an overwhelming feeling of happiness passed though me as she breathed in through her nose and if i didn't know any better i would have thought she sniffed my neck

i carried her up stairs after turning the TV off i walked into our room laying her down on our bed careful to lower her head down as not to wake her but sadly she began to stir groaning in anger she always did like her sleep

her eyes fluttered open drowsily her arms still wrapped around my neck she frowned and i smiled brushing her soft hair away from her face she didn't have any black rings around her eyes but she still looked bony from not eating i placed a kiss on her forehead and another on her cheek she purred contently but didn't pull me closer

"go to sleep little one" i cooed

another purr left her chest as her eyes darkened and i frowned was she angry with me i went to pull away recognizing that i might have over stepped a boundary but her grip tightened around my neck and she suddenly joined our lips together in a bruising kiss i knelled there shocked until what she was doing registered in my mind i pulled away and she snarled trying to pull me back to her

she growled again until i pressed our foreheads together and slowly her eyes returned to normal her cheeks turned so red even the tips of her ears turned crimson until she dropped her arms from around my neck until they laid on either side of her head i swallowed hard pulling away from her slowly surprise flew across her eyes before she reached out and grabbed my arm
