chapter 19

Daniel's pov-

the front door opened and the party immediately stopped what little music was playing was quickly shushed I placed Nova down as the uninvited guest made his way into the center of the room he looked around and I pulled nova behind me as he chuckled a well natured smile broke across his face but to me he was still a threat

"oh no" he said "don't stop on my account I only came for my daughter"

Nova began quivering behind my back I felt confused and it showed on my face as I looked back at her her face pressed into the small of my back as she physically began to shake

"ahhh" he said "there she is come here Nova "

I stiffened as I saw tears in her eyes as she looked to me and she shook her head and i turned back to the man

"i can't do that" i told him and he frowned

"i will be taking back my pack member now Alpha Shard"

i growled lowly at him he didn't want to pick a fight and didn't come any closer yes i was the strongest alpha in the world and my next words were final

"she's apart of my pack now" I told him growling as he once again stepped closer Nova clung tighter to my leg as he chuckled

"let me guess" he said still walking forwards "she fed you the 'my daddy kicked me out of me pack'shit and the 'he use to beat me senseless' crap?" I felt her crying now

"stop--" I growled snarling and I watched as everyone backed away except for the man I know to be her dad

"make me" he said I snarled

"you are on my land" I hissed out fighting back my wolf i didn't want to scare my mate

'Amy' i mind linked and her head popped out of the crowd 'i'm about to beat the living daylights out of this man'

she nodded needing no more explanations just as i let my wolf loose and I lunged at him angered I pinned him to the ground my fist connected with his jaw and he didn't even flinch I heard nova crying in the back round and the soothing voice of Amy as she told her it was okay but Nova wasn't crying for her father nor was she telling me to stop she was crying because I might get hurt

my mind strayed and Nova's dad flipped us over his hands wrapped around my throat cutting off my air supply until I kicked him in his baby maker that should have made him move right? Well he still didn't flinch my eyes clouded over

"strongest Alpha my ass" he laughed

I snarled weakly and that snarl soon turned into a vicious growl and i shifted within 5 seconds i was fully shifted and he was pinned beneath me i bit into his shoulder and he cried out why didn't he shift?

he jammed his knee into my ribs i yowled in pain leaping away from him with another snarl he didn't move clutching his shoulder and still he didn't shift i moved forwards going to deliver the final blow until a black hair girl stepped in my way I recognized her as Nova I growled trying to get past her, this fucker needed to die

"enough" she said her tone held finality "he's had enough let's not have any deaths tonight, please?"

I growled angered as she came towards me her hands pressed against my chest causing a relaxed feeling to wash over me as her wolf interacted with mine I felt myself submit to her touch

I nuzzled her chest with soft purrs of my own but she pulled away from me causing me to whine at her back as she moved to her father

"why are you here?" she growled out and i moved closer to her until i was just a hairs breath behind

"i'm here to get my daughter back to get you back" he said though pained pants

"i don't want to come back and i never will" she told him and he once again whimpered with pain

a puddle of blood had formed near his shoulder from a wound that had not yet healed which was strange he couldn't have been human he was an Alpha right?

"you'll want to come home soon sweet pea when your mate rejects you when he finds you can't shift" i stiffened and she felt that

"you won't get a wolf Nova my genes are so tainted and you are so much like me"

"that's were you're wrong" i heard Amy say as she walked up beside us "she has a wolf" and her father smirked

"not for long she won't ever be able to shift just take it from me"

Nova began to shake then before i knew it she wasn't there anymore my ears perked up and i looked around then to the open door i called after her as she sprinted across the lawn but i felt dismay build up inside me when i realized i couldn't mind link her where the hell was she going i looked to Amy quickly

'make sure you escort this bastard off our territory' i told her quickly not even waiting for a nod as i ran after my mate
