chapter 46

daniel's pov-

i saw red my claws subconsciously sunk deeper into alpha Florences shoulder he cried out in pain were i probably dug deeper then i thought

Kyle let her go and she fell forwards too weak to hold herself i moved to her breaking her fall as Kyle went to get away i laid Nova down and tackled him to the ground bones snapped as he shifted fangs clashed as we fought many wounds were made

Nova stilled withered on the ground blood soaked her clothes her wolfs sadness powered my anger to the beta i trusted over my years

"you know" he snarled looking to Nova "i aimed for the kill, her heart would have done the job, seems i missed"

i roared my anger at him but he didn't flinch i threw my body at him his eyes widened at my unexpected movement as i nailed him to the ground a swift crunching of bones was heard but he wasn't shifting back i had broken something and the pained cries he had let out proved my assumption

i pressed my paw down on his neck blood ripped from his nose and mouth were i had probably punctured a lung or caused internal bleeding he snarled but i wasn't going to kill him it would hurt nova more and would be too swift a death then i had wanted for him

"i' Alpha Daniel shard, deny you, Kyle Raine, Beta position in the shard pack"

pained flashed through his eyes and he howled squirming in my grip anger and blood lust joined the pain in his eyes but i wasn't finished

"i, Alpha Daniel shard, reject you, Kyle Raine, from the Shard pack and from any pack you seek to join in you distant future"

that earned a crippling cry from him i let him go and he scrambled to his feet snarling and coughing tremmbling and falling he  whimpered as i came closer but the whimpered o my mate was more important i broke two more of his legs assuring myself he wouldn't get away

i turned to my mate who was more then slowly healing her fathers wolf form no where in sight but i didn't care for that right now she was the only thing i saw as i moved to her blanching at the smell of her blood and our no longer living pup

"Harris?" i said through the link as i got to my mate she grabbed fist fulls of my fur in her trembling hands i rubbed my nose against her face and she started to cry

"yes Alpha" he answered

"mate is hurt" i tremmble out

"how bad?" he asked rushed

"bad" i answered before i cut the link joining it once more to my warriors

"your Beta has betrayed us, he lays on the lawn, three legs broken, take him to the cells ... and don't treat him nice"

"yes Alpha" i heard them echo

i cut their link focusing on my mate just as Harris rushed out of the pack house he gasped at the blood nova was leaking and he moved to her quickly kneeling down and quickly clearing away the blood

"she's not healing as fast as she should be" he started "i think her wolf is in shock"

"just make sure she lives Harris"

"i will try the best that i can Alpha"

author starts crying

"i'm sorry!" she wails "but i needed to do this for the story progression," author lies down and sobs into the cold floor boards "i'll make it up to you i swear"
