chapter 47

nova's pov-

"you lost your baby" dr harris said to me

it wasn't something i would have wanted to hear after waking up from a small coma i had been in for about 21 hours now

"i'm sorry there was nothing i could do"

daniels arm tightened around my shoulders and he kissed my forehead as tears streamed down my face as the doctor, harris i think his name was, continued talking

"alpha, luna i'm sorry he didn't make it" he bowed his head forwards as i continued to cry 

"I understand, could you leave us?" daniel's smooth voice echoed around the room

harris nodded quickly leaving the room and it wasn't until he left that I exploded into tears pressing my face into my mates neck as he told me how sorry he was for failing me as a mate he pressed a kiss to my temple just as the room door opened and amy came in followed by their there mother and father the women of the group looked depressed while forrest sneered at me

so much for staying away

"you should have rejected her when you first met"

"forrest sto--" tasha tried to sooth him but he was having none of it

"no" he growled out as daniel tightened his grip around myshoulders I pressed a hand to my head I couldn't handle this "you're a faliture of an alpha" he said directing this at daniel "as much as your mate is never going to be the lu-----"

I let out a growl that echoed through the near empty space my wolf coming out but she didn't need to I pulled away from daniel who tried to grab me back but I banked from his touch and seeming to sense that i wasn't calming down didn't reach for me again

moving to his father who looked down at me with a smirk as i fought back the burning pain in my stomach from where my wound and womb still hadn't healed

"go on runt" he sneered "disrespect me"

I looked to tasha silently asking permission she nodded moving to her son's side she seemed to know what i was going to do I turned back to forrest who continued to smirk until I brought my hand across his face hard his face turning to the side from the impact I was practically high on my courage at the moment as a growl rose in his chest

he turned to me his eyes dark but he wasn't met with a small whimpering girl I was a luna and I was protecting my pack my mate no one could stop me

"lisen here br---"

"no you listen to me ex-alpha no one talks about my mate like that and gets away with it ecspecially someone who's so up himself that he pays more attention to what his son does wrong then his own mate" I prodded a finger into his chest hard his eyes were wide with shock and surprise "as far as i'm concearned you don't deserve her at all I have half a mind to ban you from seeing her" he growled

"you can't order me around whelp" his words were said with an unsure tongue

I narrowed my eyes looking back to tasha she smiled nodding I turned back to shard I stood up taller

"I nova florence luna of the night shard pack ban you forrest shard ex alpha of the night shard pack from seeing tasha shard of the of the night shard pack it is in place immediately and until I or your mate says otherwise"

the strength in my voice was practically over powering my wolf cheered me on weakly still morning the loss of our pup

"is that clear forrest" he didn't meet my eyes

"yes luna" he gritted out

casting a longing look to his mate before he vanished from the room

i stood tall for a few seconds before i clutched my bleeding stomach and fell back only to be caught by strong arms that sent sparks up and down my body i leaned into the touch of my mate he lifted me off the ground carrying me back to the infirmary bed he laid me down

the rest of the short time amy and tasha spent with us was all three of us crying over my loss
