"Logan!" Cam screamed into the phone. "Calm down!"
I had an hour before Shannon was set to be here and I was freaking out.
"I can't do this Cam, I should have never asked her."
I have spent all afternoon preparing for this night. The steak is almost done, the baked potatoes are almost ready to come out of the oven, the dining room looks amazing but I'm standing here freaking out.
"You'll be just fine, now get off the phone and go get dressed." I put the phone on the counter and put the steak to the side to rest.
I check to make sure that everything is set. I rush to my room and shower. I have never been more nervous than I am right now.
I dry off and take care of all my hygiene before slipping on my black dress pants and a lavender button down dress shirt. I fix my lavender and black stripped Bow tie in the mirror before slipping on my black vest. Right as I finish tying my shoes, the door bell rings. I look at the clock.
She's twenty minutes early. I finish up, making sure I looked good before emerging from the bedroom. I go ahead and light the candles and approach the door. I wipe my hands to get rid of the nervous sweat.
"You can do this Logan" I breathed before opening the door.
Not even exaggerating, she instantly took my breathe away.
"Holy shit, you look stunning." I watch as Shannon walks in wearing a Lavender dress that stopped mid thigh. It had a deep neck and the back was out.
I took her hand and spun her around so I could get the full effect.
"Wow." I shut the door and stare at her.
"Stop it!" she blushes.
"Its just you..I mean you always but tonight...." Shannon walks over and cuts me off by placing her lips on my mine.
"You look beautiful as Well." I take a deep breath as she walks to the dining room, taking in the table setting.
"Did you do this?" she turns around looking at me.
"Um..yeah, I did. Do you like it?" she nods And walks back over to me. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her.
"How did you know I like lavender?" she smiles.
"Kasey may have told me." I walk over to the table and pull out a chair. "Would you like to sit?"
Shannon sits down and gets situated.
"What are we having tonight?"
I smile as I start bringing the food to the table.
"I thought we would have steak, baked potatoes and broccoli."
She chuckled.
"Did Kasey tell you I was a steak girl as well?"
I laughed. "Maybe."
We sat down and ate. Dinner was going perfect. The sound of her voice and laughter was music to my ears. After dinner was done, I had her sit on the couch while I cleared the table. I had the biggest surprise of the night.
"Logan, thank you so much for cooking dinner. It was amazing.
"Well, I have one more surprise that I hope you like. Come on!" I grab my jacket and drape it across her shoulders as I pull her out the door.
"Where are we going?!" Shannon fusses as we walk.
After about 10 minutes we arrive at the park.
