Don't Let Me Go

Chapter 25

Logan's POV

"I feel like Shannon and I are back to where we were. Things have been great between us. No drama, no serious arguments and the sex has been great."

"Ewe Logan, I didn't want to know all that, thank you!"

"Haha you are welcome Cam."

Cam and I sat on the couch at her house. I was getting ready to drop Addison off with her so that I could go surprise Shannon during her lunch hour. I have prepared us a light lunch and I'm bringing flowers just because.

"Thanks for watching Addison for me. I know it was last minute but I promise I won't be gone long." Cam just shook her head.

"You know I don't mind as long as you are back before I have to be at work." I tickle Addy's feet making her squeal. Monkey is now almost 5 months old and Julianna is almost 6 months. They are both growing up so fast. I can't stand it, I want my baby to stay little forever but I guess its just as amazing to watch them learn and discover new things.

"When are you and Jade leaving for the beach?" I haven't seen Cam this happy in a long time. Not since Julianna was born. Don't get me wrong, she loves that girl to death but its a different kind of happiness. She never does anything for herself anymore.

"Tomorrow morning, we will only be gone for the weekend. We were going to take Julianna with us but my Mom insisted that we enjoy ourselves, just the two of us. You know my mama loves her some Julianna so I took her up on the offer. What are you surprising Shannon for?"

"Just because, we have worked so hard. She deserves it. I Haven't even really heard her mention Elliott's name. I know I have to learn to trust her and she has really shown me that I can. I love that girl."

"Awe I'm happy for you Lo, y'all had me worried for a minute. I thought you guys weren't going to make it."

"Shit, you and me both. I thought things would be instantly better once we got away from Rachel but that's not how it was."

"Speaking of Rachel, what's the deal there?" I place Addison on the floor. I swear since Julianna is crawling she thinks she can do the same thing.

"Well Shannon said she hasn't heard anymore from Rachel or the lawyer so I don't know what the deal is. Hopefully this is the end of it." I look at my watch and I see I have about 10 minutes before Shannon's lunch hour starts. "Shit, I have to go." I quickly kiss Cam on the cheek and kiss Addison and Julianna on their foreheads. "Love you girls, thanks again Cam." I rush out the door with the food in this cute little picnic basket I found and head towards Shannon's school.

Shannon has been so excited about planning this wedding. We don't plan on getting married until next summer but I can't wait. I know that she is going to beautiful and I can't wait to make her Mrs. Daniels.  I would like to take a day trip over the summer back to visit my Mom and baby brother's grave. It's odd having my family there and me being so far away and unable to visit them. Maybe Shannon can actually visit her Mom while we are there. She has tried to call her but she doesn't return Shannon's phone calls. I know that it really bothers her even though she says it doesn't. I know that her past is the reason she does a lot of the things she has but Shannon says she has turned over a new leaf and I believe her. We have even talked about adopting a baby once we are married. I secretly hope it is a little boy. I kind of want him to have the middle name Liam. I pull up in the visitor's parking lot of the school and make my way inside. I should have asked for directions because once inside, i realized I had no clue how to make it to room 208. I don't even know where the heck the B wing is! After wandering around for a bit, I ran into Principal Grace who was so kind to show me the way. I finally reached her door and it was locked. Why the hell is her door locked? She probably doesn't want the kids bothering her during her lunch break. I chuckle to myself and knock on the door.
