It has been almost a week since I have seen or heard from Shannon and to say that I am devastated is an understatement. I went through the motions of school for two days but I couldn't stand being in Psychology with her not there.
Cam has been there for me, trying to help me pick up the pieces of my broken heart but I just push her away. I rather be alone.
It's Friday night and time for work. Even though I don't want to go, I rather stay home and drink which I've been doing a lot of lately. I have to go.
There have been no more threats from Rachel since that night and even though I want to be angry at Shannon for walking out on me, I'm worried about her safety.
I walk to my room and shower. I stand under the hot water and let it pound against my skin. I think back to that night multiple times a day. Is there something I could have done differently to make her stay? I blame myself. I couldn't protect her and she knew it.
I finally release myself from the steam filled room and dry off. Slipping on a pair of black skinny jeans and a Scorpios t shirt. I grab my jacket and slip on my black vans before heading towards the door.
I plop down in my car and just sit there. I just wish the pain would go away.
I hear my phone begin to ring.
"Hey Cam."
"Hey, Lo. I just wanted to let you know that I am having contractions and we are headed to the hospital."
"What!! Are you serious?! Do you need me to come?!"
"No, they think it'll be awhile before I have the baby."
"Ok, I'll stop by when I get off work. Have your Mom call me if things change!"
"Ok, I'll see you then."
I pull out of my driveway and head towards work. I can't believe that I'm going to be an auntie!
I feel the pain ease away at the thought of a beautiful baby girl looking up to me.
After finding Karen, I head over to my spot and start my normal duties. Tonight is packed like it always is. I have been bringing random girls home trying to keep Shannon out of my head but it doesn't work. None of them are her.
A very sweet voice brings me out of my trance.
"Hey cutie, what's your name?"
I look up and see a beautiful red head staring at me.
"Logan, yours?"
"Tiffany."
"Well Tiffany, what can I get for you?"
"Umm...coke and rum."
I turn my head sideways. I definitely wasn't expecting that from her.
"And maybe your number?" She throws in.
I look around and think about it for a second as I slide her drink over to her.
"Sure!"
She hands me her iPhone and I program my number into her phone. She throws me a wink before walking back to the floor. I am definitely not ready for another relationship but nothing is wrong with a little fun.
As the night goes on, the red head comes back up to the bar but this time she has brought a friend.
"Hi Logan, I brought my sister over to meet you."
"Logan?!"
"Kasey?" I stand there wiping off the counters.
"How are you? It has been awhile."
