Prei’s POV:

“Tita, why is mommy like that these past few days? Does she have a problem?” Ven

“Isn’t it obvious, Ven? Mommy’s sad because daddy already left for Spain.” Maze

“Are you stupid? Didn’t dad already tell us that he and mom are not lovers anymore? They’re just friends now! Because mom’s marrying tito Kevin na. Duh!!!” Ven

“Duh your face, big head ugly duckling! Mommy’s not marrying Tito Kevin because it’s pretty obvious she can’t just simply be friends with daddy. And you are the stupid one here, Venice. It’s not proper for two people who have kids to be just friends. A man and a woman who have kids should be a married couple, not friends!!!” Maze

Ven scratched her head, ignoring her brother’s insults and seemed to be thinking everything he said.

“Just like…” she looked at Ivan and Eunice. “Oh, just like Tito Ivan and Tita Eunice?”

Maze just rolled his eyes, giving up to his little sister’s innocent mind.

“Pati mga bata naaapektuhan sa kapatid mo at sa pinsan ko e.” Bulong ko kay Vince.

We’re actually here in Odette’s place. Kakagaling lang naming airport, hinatid si VM. Sumama kasi yung mga bata, kaya eto, hinahatid lang namin pauwi. At eto nga ang nadatnan namin.

Odette, sitting on the high stool on her kitchen, looking like a zombie while holding a slice of bread. Para syang wasted! Naka robe lang sya then nighties inside, tapos hindi pa nagsusuklay.

Ano ba kasing napagusapan nila ni VM? Walang nakakaalam samin! E iniwan pala kasi ni Jin kahapon. Tapos ayaw naman sabihin ni VM samin yung napagusapan nila. Pangiti-ngiti lang ang loko.

“Aba syempre, anak nila ‘yan e. Pero alam mo, sa tingin ko dapat ilayo muna sila Ven at Maze dyan kay Odette e. Naguguluhan yung mga bata. Lalo na ngayon, wala ang daddy nila, tapos ang alam nila, ikakasal ang mommy nila kay Kevin. Malilito yung mga bata.”

“Tama ka dyan, Lance. Bakit kaya hindi muna sa mansion patirahin ‘yang kambal? At least don maaalagaan sila ni Kuya Harvey, o kaya ni Lolo Anton. Kesa naman ganyan, sila pa namomroblema sa nanay nila.” Zia

“Ano nang mangyayari dyan kay Odette? Sorry ha, pero I don’t think pwede pa nating hayaan ‘to. Odette needs to be stable dahil may pamilya na sya. Pero look at her, buhay dalaga pa rin sya. I’m not being rude or what, I’m just being realistic here—“ Eunice

“Hon, let’s understand her first. Malaking revelation sa kanya yung nalaman nya. I’m sure—“ Ivan

“Ivan, even before she knew the truth, ganyan na sya. She’s living like she has no responsibility at all. She’s… she’s still dependent to us. She needs to be independent because the kids will start to depend on her.” Eunice

“Tama si Eunice, guys. Let’s face it. We all grew up, and Odette still did not.” Aly

Silence.

“Jun and Lance did not too.” Napatingin naman kami kay Ivan. And then he… “Hahahahahahahahahahaha!”

Then the fun never ended.

Bwisit na bwisit lang si Jun at Lance kay Ivan. Porke daw ‘family man’ na, nagmature na? LOL. Totoo naman e. Napaka-immature pa din ng dalawang ‘to. Well, I can see Lance is exerting effort. May improvement naman.

Hahaha. I can’t stop laughing at these guys. WE ALL GREW UP NA PALA, but look at them! Playing like kids. In fact, the legit kids are just watching them. Ang kukulit ng mga boys. Parang nadaanan ng bagyo ‘tong living room ni Od!
