Hay! It’s been a really long time; it has been five years since that thing happened.

Kamusta na kaya sila? Ano kayang mga nag-bago? O may nag-bago ba?

Before natin alamin ang mga nangyayari sa ating mga bida ngayon, let’s make a little flashback.

Marco and Odette broke up; things went back on track, back to the original plan. Odette’s family announced her engagement to a childhood sweetheart named Vince.

Not knowing, madami na palang pinagdaanan si Vince for her. Sa kabila ng hindi kasiguraduhan na mapupunta sa kanya si Odette, he still worked hard. Hindi naman nasayang ang lahat. Odette still fell on him, head over heels.

They made promises. Vince swore his forever with her. Promised her he would not love anyone as much as what he gives to her. Alam natin kung gano ka-sincere at ka-loyal si Vince kay Odette.

Pinatunayan nya lahat.

She kissed another man? It’s fine. As long as her last would be him.

She dated her ex? It’s fine. As long as her ‘I love you’ belongs to him.

She made him her slave? It’s fine. As long as she’s his master.

She tells him to find a new fiancé? It’s fine. As long as he’ll always find her.

She was paired with his ex? It’s fine. As long as he’s the partner in reality.

Everything was fine. Not until he thought she was just fooling him.

They ended up breaking each other’s heart. Nag-hiwalay sila ng dahil sa isang malaking maling hinala.

She tried to accept their fate, while he tried to test her more.

When they met again, things went upside down for her. May iba na si Vince, and everyday sinasampal sa kanya ni Vince na their thing is far over. Pero what did he do? He still provoked her to fight for him despite the fact that he looked totally moved on.

He introduces his new girl? It’s not fine. Because she wanted to be his only girl.

He made her his slave? It’s not fine. Because she wanted to be his master.

He planned his future with his girl? It’s not fine. Because she thinks she’s the one destined to be with his future.

He kissed his new girl in front of her? It’s not fine. Because she owns his lips.

They won against their selves. They went back on track, as lovers, as fiancés.

Ang dami ring pumigil sa kanila. It’s not like them, against the world. They had no antagonists. They’re antagonist are their selves.

Pero ano nga bang laban nila sa ‘hate’? Anong laban nila sa ‘love’?

And most of all… anong laban nila sa fruit ng kanilang pagmamahalan?

Their lives were better with each other. But it became incomparable, perfect when their children joined them in their journey.

Five years ago, nanalo sila Vince at Odette sa lahat ng kumalaban sa pag-ibig nila. They won over their trust issues. They won. And they got the best prize they ever wished for – their children.

Five years ago, pinanganak ni Odette ang twins na sila Vance Maze Lopez at Marcella Venice. The two healthy twins that Odette ever had. Her precious gems.

But also five years ago, Odette started raising and living with (just with) her two kids in Chicago. Painfully leaving someone.

Because five years ago, a wedding was planned, but never held.

A man waited in front of the altar, but a woman never showed up.

Because this man committed a sin, and the woman never forgave him.
