Chapter 21: “C”

Odette’s POV:

I don’t wanna go! I don’t wanna go home!!! :(

Ayoko pang umuwi! I wanna live in Spain forever.

But sadly, I can’t. I need to move on with my life. Pero… ayoko pa talaga e! Kung kelan masaya, tsaka kelangan iwan. Hay!

Ugh. It’s Thursday already, and I have to go back to Manila tomorrow. Tapos na kasi yung contract ko dito sa magazine. I know I can still stay, but mom already booked me a flight. At talagang hinintay pa nya ‘ko dito.

And another reason, birthday ng kambal next month. At sabi ni mama, ako daw dapat ang magasikaso nun. It’s their 5th birthday daw e. I don’t understand it nga e. Di ba usually 7th birthday ang pinaghahandaan ng bongga?

Oh well. Kailangan ko din naman makabawi sa mga anak ko. So might as well do it myself.

Nandito ako ngayon sa hotel suite ko. Kaka-ligo ko lang. I really have no idea how will I spend my last day here. Iniisip ko, i-treat ko kaya ang team? Then I’ll have dinner with Vince. Hmm…?

Pwede.

So I called Jacko.

“Yes, hello?”

Okay? What’s with the voice? Bat parang tensed si Jacko?

Whatever. “Are you guys busy for today? Can I have your lunch time? I’ll treat the whole team.”

“Uh…”

“I won’t take no for an answer. It’s my last day here! Okay? I’ll see you then. I’ll message you the deets. Bye!”

Someone’s POV:

“Can you put this card on that table?” I told the waitress.

“I’m sorry, ma’am. But that table has already been reserved.” Duh! Even if this wasn’t a part of my plan, I know it’s already reserved. Ugh! Ang tanga naman ng crew na ‘to!

“Yeah, I know.” I smiled fakely. “Well, it’s reserved for the Luminary Team, right? By Miss Odette Lopez, right?” She nodded. “I’m a part of that team. Sadly, I can’t make it to the lunch later. So here’s my note for Miss Lopez. If you don’t wanna put it there, then can I ask you to hand her this instead?”

She smiled slightly. “Alright, ma’am.” I was about to turn back when she asked something again. “Wait. May I know your name, please?”

I flashed her my most evil smile, and “Just tell her it’s from Cha.”
