My Baby

  A few days later, Alec needed to do a weekend mission with Jace and Magnus was working at Pandemonium, so Cas and I were stumped on what to do. We already played outside and went for a run around the neighborhood. I just bathed the cutie and put him in ewok costume. I set the little man on the counter as I made him some juice and me a coffee.

"Okay what to do now babes?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Aunty Izzy!" Cas shouted. I smiled and pulled out my laptop and putting on facetime.

"Hey babe!" Izzy shouted through the laptop.

"Aunty!" Cas shouted.

"What's up iz?" I asked the brunette.

"Nothing much. I'm trying to feed hodge some food, but he's not having any of it." She explained.

"Where's everyone else?"

"Alec and Jace are on their mission, Izzy's with Simon and It's just me and Hodge here."

"Vale, please bring food!" Hodge moaned from the back of the screen. He held up a plate of whatever izzy cooked.

"Iz you couldn't cook to save your life." I laughed.

"She's cooking to end mine!" Hodge complained.

"So dramatic." Izzy commented.

"Cas and I will grab some food and head over there." I said finally picking something to do.

"Thank god!" Hodge shouted.

Grabbing my bags and an extra pair of clothes for Cas and myself, I locked up the house and moved to the garage. The first thing I noticed is that my suv was gone. Ugh Magnus. I secured Cas in my car\ and got in the front seat. We picked up some burgers and fries and headed over to the institute. I parked, grabbed my weekender and the food and followed my little ewok into the building.

Cas and I decided to stay in Alec's room instead of driving home. I tucked Cas in and read him a bedtime story.

"Mama, when am I going to meet peter?" Cas asked.

"Who's peter baby?" I asked pulling up the blankets.

"Daddy said he'll watch over me. His names peter pan and daddy said whenever he's not here peter will make sure I'll never be lonely." Cas explained.

"Where does Peter live?"

"With the lost boys in Neverland. He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
In him. Together we flew away in a cloud of green to the promise of a beautiful destiny."

At this point I was getting slightly confused and concerned.

"What's a lost boy?"

"A boy who has no one and no where to go. Peter takes them to Neverland where they live and never grow old!"

"Are they warlocks?" I asked. Magnus is eternal.

"No. They just never age."

"I'll call your dad okay. Good night baby. I'll be back in a little bit okay?"

"Goodnight mama." I kissed his head and stood by the door. This peter pan is weird. I put an extra protection on the room and proceeded to the main room.

"What's up?" Izzy asked noticing my puzzled face.

"Cas just told me something concerning. He says there someone named Peter Pan watching over him and he lives in some place called Neverland."

"Peter pans a mundane story. It's about a boy who saves other boys from orphanages in England and flies them to Neverland where they never grow up." Izzy explained.

"But that's not possible. Everyone grows up." I reasoned.

"It's not the credibility. It's a fairytale." She said before getting up.

The next morning I work up extra early to do some early morning yoga. I changed into a pair of white Nike shorts and a Calvin Klein sports bra from izzy and headed into the kitchen. After making a cup of herbal tea and a bottle of water, I walked into the training room and started my stretches.

"Well isn't this a lovely sight." A voice said from the door. I was upside down when I turned my head.

Alec and Jace stood at the door but Jace was the one that spoke. Alec slapped his head before approaching me. I stood up and embraced my shadowhunter.

"How was the mission?" I asked him. Alec said nothing but buried his head into my neck.

"This one was especially hard." Jace commented as he put away the weapons. I ran my fingers through his hair and kissed his head.

"Are you tired?" I whispered. He nodded.

"I'll meet you in bed. Cas is in there sleeping." I said as I let go. He gave me a kiss before walking out of the room.

"I don't understand." Jace remarks as he approaches me.

"What?" I shrugged.

"He's so vulnerable with you. I'm his Parabatai and we're not even that close. He never let's his guard down with me."

"I'm his wife Jace." I said giving him a hug and telling him to get some sleep. I put on a jacket of Alec's and proceeded to the room. Alec was snuggled in with Cas in his arms. I got in a cuddled into his back as I stroked his hair.

"I missed you." I whispered before getting back to sleep.

A few hours later Cas managed to wake me up because he was hungry. It was already noon, oops.

"Shh baby, papas sleeping." I said picking him up.

Everyone in the institute was in the full swing of their morning routines.

"Hey babes!" Izzy said as she stood beside me.

"Hey Iz, what's up?"

"I was going to take Max to the toy store. I could take Cas with if you like?" she asked generously. I was so thankful. I wanted to take care of Alec.

"Izzy you're my savior" I gushed as I pulled her into a tight hug.

"I heard about the mission. Give him my love yeah?"

"Of course. I love you izzy"

"I love you too Vale"

Walking back into the bedroom, I finally got a good look at Alec. He had a couple of gashes in his face and some bruises down his neck. I moved him onto his back and propped some pillows behind his head. I'm a very good medic. I remember the first time I tried stitches, Izzy had fallen from the top of a car at a mundane party when we were fifteen and I stitched her arm up.
I used some scissors to cut his shirt off and looked at the full extent of the bruising.

"Oh baby." I cooed with worry all over my face. I stroked his hair before grabbing some ice and laying it over his long torso. I patched up some cuts, used a lot of gauze and finally pretty much everything was covered. At this point I realized I needed to call Mag.

"Hey baby" he greeted.

"Hi my love. Where are you?" I asked.

"I'm actually on the way to the institute. I got back early this morning and crashed at home. When I woke up I realized that you were here. I'm like 30 minutes away."

"Okay. Get here soon. Alec's all banged up from his mission. He's doing fine now, he's just asleep."

"Okay. Are you okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine. Just concerned. I'll be fine."

"Okay baby, I'll be there as soon as possible okay?"

"Okay Mag. I love you."

"I love you more babe."

After racking my eyes over Alec's sleeping form, I wondered around the institute until I could find some pain killers. I walked past this wall of mirrors and noticed one thing. I was huge. I mean I was almost 3 months.

I went back into the room and sure thing Alec was awake.

"Hey baby." I said as I walked in. He tried to sit up but I pushed him back down.

"Stay down your bruising is bad."

"But I'm fine." He insisted.

"But your not. Stop being a baby." I argued as I paid down next to him. I was leaning above him so his face was bust level.

"I called Mag. He's on his way."

"He's probably busy." He tried to reason.

"You need to let us take care of you baby. It's not just you anymore for the personal things. You've got us now and we're going to take care of you."

"Thank you." He whispered. He cuddled into my chest as I laid my head onto his and played with his hair.

"I love you." He said out of the blue.

"I love you too."

"Well love both of you." A voice said from the now open door. Mag sauntered in and took off his shoes and jacket before climbing in on the other side of Alec.

"Hey babe." Alec said, as he got comfy and turned toward the two of us.

"Hey baby. How's the body?" Mag asked.

"Sore." He replied. Mag cuddled him for a second before sending him back to sleep.

"How do you feel about Chinese?" I suggested.

"Sounds good to me." Mag said. He glanced down at the sleeping Alec.

"He'll be fine with it too."

"Okay, I'm gonna head to Luke's and grab something okay? I'll be back soon."

I changed into some nike shorts, shoes and jacket with a green ribbed crop top and grabbed my keys.

"Where are you going?" Jace asked as I was about to go out the door.

"I'm going to the Jade Wolf to grab some Chinese food."
"Can I come? I needed to talk to Luke."

"Sure."

10 minutes later we were on the road.

"What happened today?"

"On the mission?" Jace clarified.

"Well yeah. Why is my baby all banged up?"

"He had to battle some demons and he had to do a tough kill."

"What was it? Alec never has trouble killing demons."

"It was a demon disguised as a kid. It got in his head and he had trouble shooting it."

"oh my."

"I mean he's got 2 on the way and now a grandkid, it was bound to effect him somehow. I just never thought it would be this way."

"My baby." I cooed as I suddenly got sad. The sky coincidentally started raining too.

"Don't get sad. He'll be fine."

"That's not the point."
