Missing Pieces

  As I walked into the Jade Wolf, something felt odd. Luke stood up to greet us while I headed to the counter and picked up my food.

"Is something different here? It feels different." I asked the lady who handed me my food. She was from Luke's pack.

"There's this omega who luke took in. By looking at him, you couldn't tell he was a wolf. He's newly turned with no one." She explained.

"That's so sad."

"Yeah it's a shame. No one knows where he came from."

I headed back to where Luke and Jace were talking and took a seat. There was this lingering feeling I had. It's like I could feel this wolf's sadness. I heard a soft whimper and my head shot up. I got up and took off into the back of the restaurant. There was a small bedroom to the right where the whimpering originated.

"What are you doing? Your putting yourself in danger." Luke said. I dismissed him before opening the door. There was a boy curled up into a ball sobbing and whimpering on the bed. I slowly approached the boy as my heart went out. He reminded me of someone I used to love dearly. I grabbed the blanket and pulled it up to his shoulders as he shivered. I took a seat at the edge of the bed and put a small hand on the boys side. I could tell he was awake by the way his breathing changed but he dare not look up.

"It's okay, you can look up." I whispered. The boy slowly sat up and looked toward me. I gasped as he looked up and blinked away tears.

"Teddy?" I whispered not yet trusting my voice.

"mama?" he asked turning toward me. It was really him.

"Teddy!" I cried out as I embraced the boy in a hug.

"Mommy!" he sobbed into my chest. It was really my little boy.

"Teddy?" Jace asked from the door.

"Uncle Jace!" teddy exclaimed. Jace came over and joined the hug.

"Oh my baby." I cried as I held onto him tighter.

When things finally calmed down teddy was still clutching my side like he did when he was little.

"Teddy you were supposed to be in Idris. What happened? How are you a werewolf?"
Teddy broke down before he could even respond. I clutched him in my grasp as Jace moved to pick him up. We walked out of the little room and into the rest of the restaurant.

"Luke he's my son." I tried to explain but we ran out before I could really explain. Jace set him in the backseat of my suv and I wrapped him in a blanket. He seemed to black out for a big so I had Jace stay with him in the back while I drove back to the institute. I phoned in a emergency service request while we drove and Jace carried Teddy into the infirmary and hodge started to patch him up. Jace delivered the food to stop any suspicion. There would be too many questions.

I laid with teddy while he recovered but eventually Jace said that Alec and Magnus were looking for me. I left Teddy with a kiss on his head before vowing to be back as soon as possible. I retreated back to the bedroom that held Alec, Magnus and Cas and saw the that the three had taken to eating on the bed. I dried my eyes and walked into the room.

"There you are love, where were you?" Mag asked.

"I have some news."

"Chicken Egg roles?" Alec asked hopefully. I shook my head no.

"Teddy." I said slowly.

"Teddy?" Alec asked with a shocked face.

"Who's Teddy?" Mag asked.

"Her son." Alec answered.

"You have a son?" Mag asked.

"It's a long story. He's technically my son. When I was 13, I almost died. I decided to freeze some of my eggs for future reference. My egg was used to give one of the clave members a child. He wanted a son and he was a friend of my brother, so with the help of a carrier, Teddy was born."

"Who is this guy?" Mag asked.

"His name is Tom. The clave ordered him on an assignment last year and he's deep undercover somewhere."

"So how did Teddy get here? He was supposed to be in Idris."

"I'm not sure. He passed out before I got any information out of him. I'm going to stay with him tonight though okay?" I told them. They both nodded. I kissed the both of them and Cas before changing into a t shirt of magnus' and heading back to Teddy. Right when I got into the room he started waking up.

"It's okay baby, I'm right here." I said as I coddled my son. He laid crying in my chest for a good hour before he fell asleep.

"What happened baby?" I whispered as I stroked his hair. I needed to call Jake.

I grabbed the landline and dialed the last known number I had for him.

"You've reached Jake Riley. I cannot-" the machine said. I traded places with a pillow before heading into the center of the institute. I searched Jake's name in the tracker to try and find some trace of him. A large beeping sign came up saying access denied. I panicked and called the clave office.

"I need to speak to Clave member Jake Riley."

"May I ask who's asking?" the operator asked.

"The mother of his child."

"One moment Ma'am."

A minute later another person answered.

"Yes" a voice asked.

"Madam inquisitor?" I asked.

"Valentina, yes. What can I do for you?"

"I'm trying to find Jake Riley. He's the father of my son."

"Valentina, Mr. Riley is on a covert operation. I can have him call you back when he returns."

"That'd be appreciated Ma'am. Thank you Madam Inquisitor."

"No problem Dear." She said before hanging up.

I sighed and went back into the room where Teddy was sleeping. I curled back into him as I heard his soft whimpers of a bad dream. I ran my fingers through his hair until the whimpering stopped.

I texted Izzy and asked if she wanted to spend the day with Teddy and I tomorrow. Sleep consumed me once she said yes.

Teddy woke me up the following day when he woke up. He seemed in a better mood.

"Morning sweetie." I said as I kissed his head.

"Morning mama." He whispered. I slowly sat up.

"I grabbed you some clothes. Go change and meet me in the foyer okay?" I told him. He nodded as he went to shower.

I went back into Alec's room and grabbed a lily Pulitzer dress with louboutins, an apple watch, my Givenchy bag and some earrings. I threw my hair into a bun and proceeded out of the bathroom. I crawled into bed with my guys while I re-examined alec's injury. I cleaned some blood off before kissing their heads and leaving a note. I sighed before gently closing the door and meeting Izzy and Teddy in the foyer.

"Come on you guys, I know the best breakfast nook this side of the river. " Izzy said as she gallivanted toward my SUV.

"Sound good to you buddy?" I asked Teddy. He nodded as he held my hand. I got in the drivers and drove to our breakfast hot spot.

"So what's the plan for today?" Izzy asked.

"I need to get some stuff for the kitchen and we need to get everything for Teddy. I was thinking getting some clothes and bedroom stuff?" I offered.

"Omg shopping for clothes is my specialty." Izzy gushed.

We walked down the street linking arms and we got some looks. Suddenly Teddy stopped.

"Here's where I parked this." Teddy said as he took out a key from his pocket. I looked over as he ran across the street.

"Is that not your sports car?"

"What the heck? He brought it back from Idris?" I grumbled. Teddy ran back over with a hat in his hand.

"You took my car?" I asked. He nodded.

"I needed a ride! The mundane world is large."

"Your dad has like 5 cars?"

"He dosen't let me drive them." He argued. I rolled my eyes before proceeding into the restaurant. We ordered and started to eat when suddenly I was startled by someone sliding into the booth with me. I dropped my fork in my plate while I turned my head.

"Magnus?" I asked surprised. He grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Hey there baby." He said as he pulled me into a kiss. I smiled and kissed him back before someone clearing their throat stopped us.

"Hey Boo Bear!" I beamed at him.

"Teddy, I'd like you to meet Magnus." I introduced. Mag extended his hand to teddy who stared for a second before shaking it.

"How's Alec?" I asked as I leaned on Mag.

"He's recovering well. Misses you though. I think he wants to go home tonight."

"Oh yeah. Teddy do you want to move in with us?" I asked Teddy. He looked at me weirdly but nodded. He was being oddly quiet today.

As we walked out of the restaurant Teddy asked what we were doing.

"You need to get stuff for your room." Izzy pointed out. I nodded.

"Mag can you take him?" I asked. Teddy's head popped up real fast.

"I don't know if that's a good-"

"I'd love too." Magnus said. I smiled at him and gave him a cuddle.

"Thank you baby." I said kissing his jaw. He wrapped an arm around my waist and gave me a hug.

"We'll see you later guys!" Izzy said.

"Wait I want my car." I said as I stopped in front of Teddy. He huffed but gave me my keys.

"Behave." I warned.

"he'll be back in one piece."
