Soft Boy

When life gives you lemonade you drink that shit. When life gives you donuts you eat the dozen so that is what I'm doing. I was lounging around my living room with a 30 oz milkshake with a dozen assorted donuts. The babies and I were watching project runway as I was decked out in a black v neck sweater, cuffed boyfriend jeans and white chunky sandals. I had just gotten back from the institute and found some donuts that Emmett brought back from the city.

"She was robbed!" I heard from behind me as Jessica was exited from the show.

"Boo you whore" another said. I turned around and saw Teddy and Luke with their friends.

"She was definitely robbed." I commented. Luke came and sat by me but took my box of donuts.

"bruh I will stab you." I told Luke. He rolled his eyes and distributed the rest of the donuts.

"I'll stab all of you." I said as I threw pillows in everyone's directions. My living room was being overtaken by teenager males.

"Why are you all taking my food and encroaching on my space? I'm feeding 4 people!" I grumbled at the group.

"We're keeping you company. We were going to go grab dinner and then go to the mall for some clothes. Do you want to come?" Luke asked. I looked at them with a strange look.

"But I'm the mom. The mom doesn't go to the mall with your friends." I told Teddy.

"They asked. Plus Mag told us to keep an eye on you while Em is out of city." He said. I raised my eyebrow but nodded.

"Let's go donut bandits." I said as Luke helped me up and helped me slip on my fur coat.

"I'm taking my car." Teddy said. Three of his friends went with him while Luke and another went with me.

"Can you drive Luke?" I asked as I handed him the keys to my g wagon.

"Sure! This car is huge. How did you get a G wagon with a third row back seat?" he asked.

"Money." I told him. He smiled and got into the truck.

We went to Gramercy Tavern for a dinner tasting session.

"What made you guys think of coming here?" I asked one of the boys.

"My brothers the executive chef." He said. I nodded and looked down at the menu.

We ordered and ate the first course when Teddy asked a question.
"hey mom. Do you think the guys could go camping with us this weekend?" he asked. I knew it.

"Way to corner me dumbass." I retorted. We were going camping upstate this weekend and we were staying in a 4 bedroom cabin.

"they'll bring their own stuff and food." He said. I downed my glass of apple cidar imported from France and ordered another.

"fine. Don't make me regret it." I told the group. They cheered and hollered until I stopped them.

"We leave at 6 am tomorrow. No girls, no booze unless your in the presence of an adult and don't get into trouble or else I will ground all of you." I warned them. They nodded but thanked me.

They all went hog wild at the mall while for once I got minimal things and decided to grab a milkshake and while I browsed the baby stores. I was just sipping on my milkshake and looking for cute things.

"Can I help you?" a store associate asked.

"I'm just browsing thank you." I told her.

"7 months right?" she asked me. I had to calculate it into mundane months before nodding.

"With triplets." I told her. She stood shocked for a second before regaining composure.

"Do you have a stroller yet?" she asked me. I shook my head no.

"they were supposed to be twins before our recent visit showed a third." I explained. She told me to wait a second before she came back with a stroller with three seats.

"Holy shit." I swore. She told me about it's features, but I was hooked.

"I'll take it!" I told her. She smiled and rang up the little things that I got.

I texted Luke and Teddy and asked them to help me carry these to my car. It was a funny site watching four boys carrying my stroller and items to the car.

"Hey Mrs. Lightwood, would it be okay if you met my mom real fast? She wants to meet you before I go away for the weekend." Teddy's friend Rhett asked.

"Of course. We're like 5 minutes away anyway." I told him.

We rounded into a circular driveway with toys everywhere. I cringed at the yard and toys that cluttered it.

We got out of the car and Rhett announced to the household that he was here to grab his truck and introduced me.

"Hi I'm Valentina Lightwood. I'm Teddy's mom." I said as I introduced myself to the women. She looked in her late 30's and was currently dressed in an apron and some flower.

"Oh hi. I'm Miranda, rhett's mom. Welcome into my home please!" she said as she lead us into the dining room. Luke went with Rhett to grab some stuff and promptly left me. I sat and watched 2 young children cause trauma to this home. Toy's were everywhere and there were weird little messes in different places.

"Excuse the mess." She said as she sat across from me.

"Oh no problem. I understand." I told her.

"So you and Teddy live in the house with the large fence right?" she asked.

"Yes. Teddy and I live there and also my husbands and our friend." I said.

"Husbands?" she asked. She was the first person to actually ask about my two husbands.

"Yes I have two husbands." I told her straight forward. She nodded slowly.

"So where are you guys going this weekend?" she asked.

"We've rented a cabin in Maine. It's really good for skiing which is great because that is something that the boys love." I told her.

"And your pregnant?" she asked suddenly. I was getting annoyed with this ladies questions.

"Yes with triplets." I told her. She raised an eyebrow and smiled at me.

"What do you and your husbands do?" she asked again.

"My husband Alec is in the defense industry and Magnus dabbles in the business aspect of new York. He owns the club pandemonium."

Getting out of that house was my first priority. Luke and I ran out the door and to the nearest grocery store. I grabbed some ingrediants for Luke cause he's gonna make dinner. I also grabbed a sheet cake and ice cream because I know that the boys are staying over until we leave tomorrow.

"What's cooking chef Luke?" Magnus asked as we walked in the door. He's grown fond of not having to cook food.

"Steaks and Fries Magic Man." Luke replied as they did a man shake. I winced at their bro shake and placed the groceries on the island.

"Hello My loves" Mag said as he swooped me up. I squealed at the sudden gesture.

"Hello. Where's the other teddy bear?" I asked.

"He's waiting for you. Mr. Grumpy bear demanded cuddles as soon as I got home and told me he wanted some from you as soon as you got home." Mag said as he plopped me onto the couch. No alec could be seen but I did see the boys in the backyard.

"Where's Alec?" I wondered aloud as I felt the blanket next to me move. Alec stuck his head out and pulled me under the blanket with him.

"Hello My Love." I told him as I kissed his face. He scrunched his nose at the sudden contact but returned the love with cuddles and snuggles.

"What's up Mr. Grumpy Pants?" I asked my dear husband. He laid his head on my chest as I traced his runes and kissed his head.

"Institute drama." He said. I clutched him tighter and ran my fingers through his hair.

We sat in silence as I ran my finger through his hair and he was nearly asleep.

"are they asleep or doing other things?" a voice asked. Teddy ripped the blanket off of us.

"What?" I asked him as Alec was finally asleep.

"We got tickets to the basketball game at Madison Square Garden. You guys coming? Magnus is coming with us." Teddy said. I looked at him like he was crazy.

"You know we're leaving tomorrow morning right? Your not going to get back from the game till at least 1 am." I told them.

"Yeah. So you coming?" he asked. I nodded and they ran off. My wiggling under alec woke him up.

"You want to come to a basketball game my love?" I asked him. He looked at me with sleepy eyes before nodding.

"Go shower my dear. You'll feel better." I told him. He got up and took me along with him until we got to the bedroom. Magnus was searching on his tablet for something.

"What are we wearing?" I asked.

"Matching." He replied and plunged into the closet.

He threw me a black playsuit with suede over the knee boots and a pink bomber jacket. He worse a pair of black skinny jeans with a pink shirt that marched my jacket and suede shoes that were the same color as mine.

"You guys are matching?" Alec asked as he got out of the shower. We were on the bed playing some hand game when he sauntered out of the bathroom with a towel around his long torso. Magnus and I spent a minute shamelessly checking out our man before giving a nod of approval and going back to our game.

"I'm not a piece of meat" Alec exclaimed dramatically. He threw on a black sweater with black jeans and white shoes.

"You dress so boring." I said as I grabbed their hands and walked downstairs. Alec was still being cuddly so he got into the back seat and demanded one of us join him.

"Not it" Magnus shouted as he got into the drivers seat of his Range Rover. I glared at him before locking the door and getting in the back. Alec cuddled into my embrace as I ran my fingers throw his hair again and stroked the side of his face. I smiled at my sleeping husband as I zoned out on his face for like 10 minutes. He moved his head onto my chest as I wrapped my arms around his head and absentmindedly petted him.

Mag and I made random conversations before he turned into his serious face.

"What are we going to name those three?" he asked me. I thought for a second before racking through some names in my head.

"Well I took a quiz online."

"Your not naming our first born children after a quiz you took on the internet." Alec mumbled with his eyes still closed. I laughed and ran my fingers through his hair again.

"Well anyway, I've got Kennedy for a boy."

"I like Kassandra for a girl." Alec chimed in.

"Kameron for the other girl. Kam, Kass and Ken." I said. I smiled at the pair.

"Kennedy Gideon Lightsbane, Kameron Genevieve Lightsbane and Kassandra Giovanna Lightsbane." Alec split out. He didn't even look up from his nap.

"Well I guess I'm changing my last name." Magnus mumbled. I rolled my eyes at him before he went to turn on the radio for the rest of the trip. I watched videos on my phone until we got to the stadium and I peppered alec's face with kisses.

"Wake up Cuddle buddy! We're here!" I whispered in his ear. He sat up, stretched and smiled a happy smile.

"Why are you smiling?" Magnus asked with a smile.

"We named our babies." He smiled before helping me out of the truck.

"Soft boy." Magnus joked.
