  All it takes is to get rid of Tommy as soon as possible. Masiyado na siyang maraming problema at nagiging isang malaking problema na sa kanya si Tommy. He does not want to see a cub turn into a lion that will kill him in the future. Kaya nang malaman niya na finire nito ang kanyang assistant ay nagkaroon siya ng grounds para mas ipitin ito at magkaroon siya ulit ng tali dito.

The intercom was beeping. It was pass 3PM and he was wondering kung sino ang tatawag sa kanya sa oras na yun. He does not have any appointmemt.

"Mr. Almosa.. Applicant for the Human Resource Manager's assistant is waiting outside your office. Shall I let him inside?"

Napakunot ang kanyang noo. Of all times ngayon pa talaga pinili ni Tommy maghire ng bagong assistant. Sinasadya ba talaga nito ang lahat. Namumutawi na ang galit sa mata ni Dale. He makes sure na hindi makakapasa sa kanya ang taong iyon.

Linapitan niya ang intercom at sinagot ito. Hinding hindi niya mapapayagan na maghariharian si Tommy. He has to remain at the top and Tommy has to go and be gone for good.

"Yes let him inside." walang buhay niyang sagot dito.

Hinarap niya ang sarili niya sa glass window at hinintay ang pagpasok ng taong akala ni Tommy ay makakapasok sa kanyang standards. Hinding hindi mangyayari ang gusto nitong gawin. His hate is building up.

At pumasok na nga sa kanyang opisina ang  hinihintay niya. Hindi niya muna ito hinarap at naghintay pa siya magpakilala ito.

"Good Afternoon Mr. Almosa.. I am Timothy Chan, applying for the assistant position of the Human Resource Manager." pagpapakilala nito in a very attention grabbing voice. Pero parang narinig na niya ang boses na yun. Hindi siya sigurado pero he has to face this guy. Alam niyang narinig na niya ito. And when he gazed at him ay doon na niya narecognize ang lalaking yun. Tama hindi siya pwedeng magkamali.

"Ikaw??--The crazy guy on the street.. How... How did you end up here?" sobrang gulat niyang tanong dito. Naguguluhan parin kasi siya.

"I am here to become a part of the company. And I apologize again for the last encounter we had Sir.. I am here with professionalism. I will always put my job first if ever I am given a chance." tuwid na sagot nito sa kanya.

Halatang nagulat din ang kaharap niya dahil hindi rin naman nito inaasahan na siya ang General Manager. Still, he did not know na ganito pala talaga kaliit ang mundo. Parang nananadya ang panahon.

"Well.. I am impressed with you. But I am telling you this company is not a place for people like you. I always have this idea that the likes of you are con artist. I have anticipated this move of Mr. De Jesus."

Pero hindi natinag sa sinabi niya ang lalaking kaharap niya. Inabot nito sa kanya ang kanyang resume. It was getting more interesting.

"I also want to make it clear to you Sir that I don't personally know Mr.De Jesus. I came here with my whole determination. I know I am qualified for the position and I am effective in everything I do. Please do read my resume first Sir. I am willing to answer every questions that you will ask of me. I believe in the saying that "you can't judge a book by it's cover" madiin nitong pagdedepensa sa sarili. Now it makes him more intrigued about this guy. So maaring hindi nga ito kilala ni Tommy personally. Baka din nagpapanggap lang ito. Alin man sa dalawa malalaman niya rin. He needs to see how far this guy can go. The look in his eyes is so intimidating. Parang dagdag sakit ng ulo ito kapag napasok sa kompanya. Pero wala siyang makitang dahilan para hindi ito matanggap. Maganda ang grades nito sa kursong Communication Arts. Hindi man ito graduate ay marami din itong job experiences. He has been a part of Wired Hosting Group. Isa sa pinakamagagaling na hosting agency sa bansa. He can't use any of them.

"So tell me how can you be of help to the company?" unang tanong niya dito. He has to make sure na magkakamali ito. Dahil yun lang ang magiging basehan niya para di ito tanggapin.

"As I have experienced in my previous jobs, I am a very hardworking person. I do all tasks with minimal supervision. I always try to learn new things that is related to my work and I make sure that I absorb every criticism I get to make sure that I can be more effective in my job. I dont know much about the company but I will make sure that I will give my best to be of service and for the goodwill of the company." magiliw na sagot nito. At nakangiti pa ito habang sinasabi ang mga salitang yun. He never anticipated this kind of guy to be so intellegent. The guy that he almost killed dahil sa katangahan nito sa kalasada turned out to be someone who is really determined and witty.

"What qualities do you think you have to meet the requirements of the position you are applying for?" tanong niya ulit dito. This time alam niyang mas mahihirapan na itong sagutin iyon.

"I am a person of trust. I can be reliable in all things that I am to carry on with. I do my job with dedication and I give all my efforts to be effective. I also accept criticisms wholeheartedly since those criticism will help me see my failings and do better in the next time. With this qualities, I am very sure that I am deserving of the position I am applying for." magiliw ulit na sagot nito.

This is making him excited. Hindi niya alam pero bigla siyang naimpress sa lalaking kanyang kaharap. He never meet someone so determined and able enough to face him that way. Had he found his match? Ito palang ang taong nagpamukha sa kanya na may kakayahan itong harapin siya sa isang debate. But the only thing that makes him feel uncomfortable is that this guy is applying as an assistant to Tommy. Bakit lahat nalang ng magagandang bagay ay nangyayari kay Tommy?

He heard that Mr. Grant appointed him to become the next Vice President candidate. Pero mas maraming nagpupush through na siya ang maging Vice President dahil sa wala na nga si Amber sa kompanya. This is only making him more challenged.

"I heard enough Mr. Chan. I can see your determination. Although I must say that you don't have that much idea of our company. What do we do? What do we need to achieve? What are our future plans? We need someone who has the same vision as we have. Are you sure you are really determined because you want to be a part of the company? Or you just need to survive your daily living since I can see that you have been working for your family."

It was a very crucial question for the guy. This will make him or break him. He needs to get the right answer. Kapag nagkamali ito na sagutin siya. Then there is no reason for him to accept this guy.

"Yes it is true Sir. I have been working for my family since I stood as the man of the houshold. My father past away when I was only 7 years old. I learned to help out my mother for my sisters to have a normal and good life. I have done everything for them. And I am still doing it even sacrificing too much of my life. But I came here so that I can learn, to test myself if I can become someone who is able to create new beginnings. I may not have the idea but I am willing to learn from scratch. Everything is learned and this is a great experience for me to have. I have this chance and I dont want to lose it just because I only need this for my everyday living. I need this because I want this to be something I will be proud to tell my kids of one day. That I had been a part of this successful company."

Doon na napagtanto ni Dale na hindi niya talaga kayang baliin ang taong ito. He was touched with his story. But he was more impressed of how he answered his question. Hindi iyon inaral. It was coming from his mind and his heart. It was the first time that he felt that way to someone. The feeling that he dont know what to do.

"Congratulations Mr. Chan. You are hired. Please report to your superior immediately tomorrow. And follow the protocol of the company. Pass your requirements needed and start working hard." nakangiti niyang pagbati dito. Wala nang dahilan para hindi niya ito tanggapin.

Maswerte lang si Tommy dahil sa kanya napunta si Timothy.

But who knows.. He can do whatever he wants.. And he wants Timothy to be on his side.

"Thank you so much for the opportunity Mr. Almosa. I will do all my best. Have a nice day Sir!" ngiting tagumpay nito bago nagpaalam sa kanya at lumabas ng kanyang opisina.
