Image is an example for a certain move later on in the chapter. You'll understand when you get there. If you dont then ask and I'll explain it.

"Why did I open my big mouth?!" Tigris moaned as the Nevermore began hissing and growling at the other Grimm. Almost as if giving orders? Something that was unheard of with Grimm. They rarely worked together in the slightest mostly ignoring any other Grimm that weren't the same as them. She glanced at the others to assess their chances.
Iris already had her hand on the hilt of her katana and was scanning the enemies. The chick she had yelled at in the locker room was shaking in fear. She'd be no help. David, had his eyes closed?! She wasn't sure what to think about that but she did know he knew how to fight. Three out of four was good but she didn't think it would be good enough. She would end up going through the change.
"We fight together." David suddenly said interrupting her thoughts. "Rose." The girl she had yelled at jumped a little at hearing her name. "Have you ever used your semblance to support someone?" The entire time he kept his eyes on the enemies.
"I-I don't know." Rose stuttered.
"For now focus on that." David instructed. "Iris, Tigris, and myself will attack and defend in arrow formation. I will be the point." He glanced at each of them. "If anyone spots a chance to run notify everyone. Our goal is to get out of this alive with everyone."
"Do you really think we have a chance?" Tigris asked while moving into position. Iris did the same. As Tigris donned her clawed gauntlets she noticed Iris kept her blade sheathed. She wondered if it had anything to do with what she had done to the trees earlier.
"I will follow you anywhere." Iris cooed causing David to sweat drop.
"Focus on protecting Rose." David instructed them both. "Of all of us she has the least experience in combat." He pulled his shield of his back and set it at his side. Upon touching the ground a surprisingly large cloud of dust came off the disturbed dirt. Just how heavy was that thing!? "I will attack first." He lifted his shield so that it was angled slightly. "Follow my lead."
As he crouched down to leap forward the Grimm decided to attack as well. First the Ursa and the Beowolf charged forward. The Death Stalker moved from side to side seeming to look for an opening while the Nevermore leapt up to crouch in the trees above. It jumped from tree to tree judging their formation.
"No you do not." David growled as it began to move behind them towards Rose who was about ten feet back. His shield began to spin before stopping. An explosion went off, accompanied by a bright flash, and a pole five feet long shot out striking the Nevermore knocking it to the ground.
"Keep an eye on that thing." David instructed as he launched forward while moving his shield in front of him. The Grimm were surprised by his frontal attack and couldn't dodge him as he barreled through them. The Nevermore shook it's head in rage and followed after him leaving him on the other side of the monsters breaking their starting formation.
"David!" Iris moved to follow as well but the Ursa and Beowolf had recovered and now blocked their path to him. "Out of my way!" She growled as she began running forward, hand on the hilt of her blade.
"What about our plan to stick together?" Tigris asked no one in particular. It was now her alone with Rose and to make matters worse more Beowolf came out of the forest blocking them from moving with Iris. "Don't let any of them get behind us." She called to Rose who nodded, clearly scared. Tigris noted she now had her sword in her hands but she was holding it more like a stick than a sword. How she managed to enter one of the best hunter/huntress schools on the planet she had no idea.
