Iris sat in the girls locker room getting dressed after a long shower, it was late at night. It had been weeks since David had introduced them to the seniors that would act as their sparring partners and teachers in their free time. All of them had improved in many ways. Rose had increased in combat skills and didn't seem so out of place anymore. She had also became even more of a idol since she walked around with her Voice of Truth, the name she had given her weapon she had received from David. Tigris laughed alot more and seem much friendly since spending time with Arter. And Fred, whoever that was. Iris herself, her endurance and increased. Something that was necessary for her semblance.

"Hey." Fionola, the reason for her endurance, whispered in her ear. A blush colored her cheeks as she felt her wet, exposed body press against her back. Her wet, orange locks tickling her ear.

"Your getting my clothes wet." Iris barely managed not to stutter as she focused on the task she was previously working on. It was difficult with her mind imagining the things they had been doing only minutes before. The two reminders pressed against her back didn't help either.

"Your always in a rush to go once we're done." Fionola complained as she removed herself Iris' back. She could hear the girl laying down on a bench and resisted the urge to glance at her. Most likely what Fionola wanted her to do. "Do you really hate the idea of people knowing about us?"

"It's not really that." Iris shook her head, keeping it down so her hair could keep her eyes covered. "It's The Blade. Once we get David as our partner things will be different."

"Right." Fionola groaned, even her groan sounded sarcastic. "Since I'm a nobody when it comes to names The 'Mighty' Blade wouldn't approve of one of its whetstones being dulled."

"Please don't act like this." Iris asked her, finally turning around. She wasn't really surprised when she was disappointed by the sight of her partner already dressed, it wasn't really the first time it had happened either. "You promised."

"Yah sorry." Fionola responded sincerely. "It just seems so silly that names are how they judge power. I'm plenty strong as I am."

And she was right. While Fionola was the first in her known family history to become a huntress, she was stronger than some who The Blade put value on. It was kind of a miracle that she had even become a huntress, let alone survived her semblance. When she was little a party of hunters and huntresses had stopped at their home to let a wounded comrade heal. Not having much time, they left him there and paid her parents to take care of him. It was during those weeks that he had discovered that Fionola had a rather powerful and unique semblance. She was an Empath. And so he trained her to defend herself, master her semblance, and made her a woman. That last part was Fionola's own little joke. She had only been eight at the time so it wasn't meant in that sense. But he had helped her to grow up a lot. It was a good thing. Because most twelve year olds couldn't leave home and travel from the borders of Minstrel in order to reach the greatest school of combat.

"I just had a thought." Fionola spoke up drawing Iris from her thoughts. "If names are so important, what's so special about David?"

"He has the strongest name in history." Iris gave her a weird look. This was something they both knew.

"But he doesn't." Fionola came and sat down across from her. "According to my captain he has no family name. Something about how the heir loses their mother's name, which they carried before, and is nameless until they prove worthy to carry the clan name." She explained before becoming concerned. "Iris?"

Iris sat there shocked as it all began to make sense. How every time the Baract name was tied to him he would shrug it off. Whether it was 'That's a Baract for ya!' or 'As expected of them Baracts.' it didn't matter how it was phrased. His response was always the same. 'I am not worthy of such praise.' She always thought he was just being humble. But in reality, he was saying that he didn't carry such a powerful name.
